RT: I was going to take the wife on an AM ride to your bakery, should be there around 8-8:30. I don't have a real riding plan after that. I thought she would like some of the places around Chapel Hill, but we saw them at 100 mph, they may look different at 55. Let me know if you want to go and I'll see if Glen wants to go and have a donut too. | ||

I don't know how far mama and I will ride beyond Bellville, but you know the route now, you don't need me for a guide. Besides, I'll be on the "old fat guy" bike, I won't be able to run with the Buell brigade!  r-t | ||

 Houston dudes, looks like it ain't gonna happen this morning-it's raining like the proverbial cow down here chez moi, with thunder and lightning and everything. Harris county is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 0800 and judging from the radar picture, it's gonna be an ugly morning.  Road_thing is going back to bed! | ||

r-t Your weather map was accurate at 8:00am but by 8:30 the storm front passed and all things looked good for the ride, so I went. Good donuts at Newman and a neat antique car ralley at Chappel Hill..all alone! It was a nice short ride and the weather was perfect..much cooler. I'll be waithing for the next ride, hopefully with some buellers.  | ||

REM; Sorry, for not calling you directly to notify you of the ride cancellation. This won’t happen again. By the way, I hate to see anyone eat donuts alone. With the streets still wet and with thunderstorms still in the area it was tuff to convince the wife to hop on the bike and go for a ride, even if there was a breakfast involved that she didn’t have to cook. RR,RT,Hootowl & REM: If no one has a problem I guess we'll stick to the same ride plan as last week. Those of us to the North will leave from Starbucks off 242 at 8:30. RT & Hootowl we'll meet ya at Newman's around 9:30. Man there's nothing like a good cup of coffee, a jelly filled (lemon)and a twisty road to get you jacked up in the morning. Okay maybe 2 jelly filled.  | ||
