Sorry, I should have called you this morning. I saw the NSX & WRX a couple of times. Next weekend I'm out of town, so hopefully in a couple of week I will be able to head north again. Maybe by them my gear will be dry. The 2nd is, I need 2 good salespeople. Wes (one of our top salesman) is leaving to become a pilot. I figured with as many motorcycle people as we know, somebody has got to want to sell bikes. If you have anyone you would recommend, please send them my way or have them give me a call at the shop. Sounds like everyone had some great vacations!!! Made it to Colorado no worries except for the overturned maple syrup truck in Kansas city and then when I got pulled over in Kansas in the middle of nowhere for 'Aggressivly stalking' Apparently the tanker truck I had been following for several hours got scared (he had a good pace going and I wasn't tailgating????) Well he called the cops and told them that I was trying to steal his load of Hazardous material??? The cop took one look at the 3 kids in the car, the cat and the trailer with a motorcycle and kayaks and told me to have a nice night. Sheesh. It's nice to be home. Got here Wednesday afternoon, unpacked the truck into a storage unit on Thursday and headed to the hills on Friday to go White Water Rafting- WHAT A BLAST!!!! Saturday was pretty uneventful, just drove around looking for a house- one of the important things in life. Sunday I went to a Big Motorcycle event downtown where they block off the street and have bands and all kinds of motorcycle related stuff all day and Hooters girls washing bikes for charity. Shred- it was the same thing we attended last year. Good turn out this year!!! I saw 1 Blast and a Yellow R but that was it as far as Buell's go. I got to ride down with a friend of mine who has a Honda Rune, very nice bike. Wouldn't want one personally but it suits him. There is A LOT of SAND on the roads here- gotta watch it- Oh yeah and A LOT of SQUIDS. "Chicken strips?? What are those??? You mean you can ride on the side of your tire???" Definatly a different world of riding here to say the least. 4 out of 5 riders have NO protective ANYTHING on. Seeing that is going to take some getting used to. That and guys on Jap bikes with no helmets or if they do have one it's locked to the back of their seat. In which case I ask, What's the point?? Last night there was a guy with a helmet on riding a passenger, with no helmet doing wheelies on one of the busiest roads in town. Darwinism at it's best. Well hope all is well with everyone and you all ride safe. Looking forward to getting to ride in the Mountains!!! Just couldn't stay away. We have a connection here at the house. Everything is cool except for the 2 SHARK ATTACKS in the past 72 hours. 1st in Pennsicola Beach, 50 miles from here.....fatality. Today only 100 yards from were I was in the water. Not fatal but the 16 year old lost his leg above the knee. It was a Bull Shark in both cases. Not going in the water!!!!! On a lighter note, I'm trying to show my future Brother-In-Law the ropes.   Kdan Posted on Monday, June 27, 2005 - 08:03 pm:        Asheville was fun. The ride back sucked. The Blue Ridge Pky, while beautiful, was foggy and rainy. 25 MPH with about 100ft visibility. We need rain gear. Stayed at a nice little place in Gerton NC, near Chimney Rock. I recommend Hwy 246/106 to Highlands then hwy 64. Just watch out for the old people. They drive like...um...old people. What a road!!! I really did not get to kill it cuz it rained some but got a really sweet taste! There are also a lot of other roads in the area that are a lot of fun as well. B_666 has a new 9R, let me tell you this, do not let him ride in front of you or next to you, you will be DEAF, WHAT DID YOU SAY MY EARS ARE STILL BLEEDING!!!!! No joke the Ti Force is so loud when he rode in front of me I could not hear my bike. OK OK, I gotta fess up, I am a 100% squid, IN has no helmet law, so I figured no helmet to save my life who needs gear? We rode around South Bend in shorts, tank tops, sneakers and NO HELMET!!! I felt so naked but had a good time none the less, ran into a guy with a Cyclone while we were up there as well, I sure dont miss the bumpy, flat, and STRAIGHT roads at all. After this weekend, law or no law, I doubt (never say never) you will catch me with out gear. Only place that got hurt on my body was the places I DIDN'T have GEAR! You guys are good (I know I'm still a beginner) but PLEASE be careful. It's always the unseen factors that get you. So glad to have you back safe and sound. Now, B_A , beat them both for being squid-ly. Oh wait, maybe you shouldn't. THEY MIGHT LIKE IT! An then all the other guys would get jealous, so you would have to help me and that could just go on and on. personally I wish they would be safer. I trust these guys an I gave up on trying to tell new12r to listen to me along time ago. they are grown men well maybe grown boys He He , and you know boys will be boys especially with their toys. talk to you soon glad you had a great time on your trip. My check engine light came on yesterday. I immediately changed to oil, but it is still on. I am scheduled for service next Thursday and need to know what's up so I am not worried about my ride. Speaking of NEXT Thursday, anyone got any time to kill. I believe it's almost everything you need to know about the codes and how to get them. Almost, as in sometimes the code may say something like battery dead, but not tell you why (as in stator) but it's a start.
