Other times of the year it is a boring road with dead trees on both sides. We rode 1280 miles in 4 days. We rode in the rain for all of it except 6 hours on last Monday. The last day we had to ride for 10 1/2 hours in 45 degree rain. It SUCKED. It rained the entire time we were in Austin and the entire ride home. The ride home was in a Ford Explorer and pulling a trailer. We drove from Austin to Atlanta yesterday. We got home about 4 this morning. Not quite the vacation I was looking for. Oh well, whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I'll be back at work on Wednesday. My oldest will be 18 on Thursday soooo unless I want to sleep with the dogs for a longggggg time I will not be able to make the meeting.... I plan to ride up to TWO with my gear on Friday the 18th after helping load if needed at SMHD... If the weather really sucks on friday or weekend looks like it may be a washout I will probably load the bike in my truck and take it up that way (probably will need a hand getting it outa of the truck).... I can handle my own gear either way.. Probably only thing I need to know is if I will have a bed or need to bring my sleeping bag????? As like last year I will help at TWO any way needed but perfer not to lead...
