Branding.

Flickinger told me last March that H-D and Buell brands shall not be intermingled.

I disagree.

Froggy!

Hoouaahh.

That looks great! Thank You!

More please!

Aesthetically, there's a lot of real estate to decorate with the basic XB/LOKI frame design.

The VR's are still a lotta fun to look at. Thanks for youn's posts.

The VR was sooper cool looking and a great concept.

However, Harley did not need the embarrassment of a bike that broke down way too may weekends and was down on power to everyone else on the track. It just reaffirmed the stereotype that Harley had no friggin idea how to build a reliable or fast bike.

I was one of those rolling my eyes every time it ran into the infield when the engine died, again.

However, I did feel a great deal of pride the times it did podium. There were some great riders on it too.

The basic nature and character of a Buell requires the H-D lump, tuned to Buell specs, retaining the thump.

The familial DNA of the XBs and Tubers will always be Harley-Davidson. We are just the mutants.

I can see painting a tuber or air cooled XB the black/orange scheme.. but why pick the first Buell that has absolutely nothing in common with HD?

This is how my bike looked when I first picked it up 2 years ago.

After some time, I started to mod it to what I liked and now it has yellow plastics.

TWO other SVT Focus owners? I have a Pitch Black 2002!

Does yours shred tires every 20k too?

That was my 2nd SVT Focus. I got rid of the yellow one because it seemed to eat an alternator and crack 3 of the 4 spark plugs every 5k miles. Ford never could figure out why it was doing it. I had an '04 Sonic Blue SVT Focus before the yellow one (both with the Euro package), but that one got traded in on an '03 SVT Lighting... I go through vehicles like underwear! For the past year now, I've been driving a Jeep Cherokee. I've had a few Jeeps in the past and I just keep going back to them. Must be the fun factor and the bulletproof 4.0L! I think I'll be driving the Jeep til it runs itself into the ground. Good little truck.

I bet neither of yours had dual exhaust...

Pkforbes87 remember the 1000 was liquid cooled

I have the SVTF bumpers, skirts and 2004 headlights, hood and fenders in my shed. Doing an SVT conversion to my 05 ZX3 this spring, retrofit with FX35 projectors and when I get the $10k or so its an F2/Cosworth built block with some big old boost. Hell if I scrounge up 12k I can do the V8 351 conversion : )

Jeeps??? off topic...nothing better than a X or M model...at one time I owned 5 at once...currently doing a resto on a 91 MJ pickup...the 4.0 is as dern close to bulletproof as you can get...one of my rigs had 300k+ miles on it when I sent it on to another loving family...if Chryco still built them (XJ-MJ), I would go buy a new one in a heartbeat..

Hey Froggy - The SVT Focus is not a turbo car - when you compare a turbo car to a non turbo car, of course the turbo car is going to win out... most of the time. Now take that same SS turbo crap and put it up against a factory turbo Focus, like the RS Focus, and it doesn't even stand a chance. Apples to apples, not apples to oranges...

Jeeps have always had that special place in my heart. My last Wrangler had 215K miles on it when I got rid of it and is still ran as good as the day it was brand new. Chrysler made a big mistake getting rid of the 4.0L.

Wait those heaps aren't turbo? Thats a fail.

I had to dig it up, the Cobalt SS Turbo and Focus RS both have a 0-60 in 6.5 and quarter mile in 13.6

Yeah, most think the SVT Focus is turbo. I think that's one of the reasons it never really took off. All the Europeans got the fun stuff with the RS Focus. Cobalt SS Turbo and RS Focus - Apples to Apples... Personally, I don't think I'd buy either. Ive been on a Subaru WRX STI kick lately... Not good...

No, the Iron Duke was from the day when AMC bought engines from GM...the 4.0 and it's equally tough brother 2.5 are AMC based...I have owned both...I built a 2.5 that I ran a 75hp nitrous shot on...still running...tuff little motor.

I don't know why, but Jeeps and Buells just seem like they go together perfectly!! Maybe it's because the Jeep community is real close just like the Buell community. I love you guys!! lol

Love my Grand Cherokee, but would love an old Wagoneer even more. Jeep straight sixes hold up beautifully year after year and mile after mile.

I wouldn't demean the Daytona 675 by calling it a baby HD anything, it kicks ass and apologize's to no one, surely not HD.
