I am sorry to hear that Walt. I don't know Josh that well. Just met him a couple times. I know his mechanic better. Joe is a great guy. From what I know he is a hell of a Buell mechanic also. Joe and I rode in the same group at my first track day so we got learn how to ride on a road course together. The bike looks great. Now I have someone else to pull for in races that I get to see. I might try to make it up to the Autobaun track in Joliet, IL this season. Best of luck to you at Daytona. Brupska

Walt,
Wicked sweet ride. I sure would like to see an in-depth article on how the bodywork is attached and what sort of hardware is used (Minus the ram air bits, of course).

Best luck!

Bob

Brupska,

Don't get me wrong about Josh. He's a good guy and a good rider. Sometimes racing incidents happen. Neither oner of us crashed so that was the important part.

Nedwreck,

Get my phone # of the website, www.waltsipp.com and we can talk about how the bodywork is mounted. It's actually pretty easy!

Walt,
What size MC are you using for the front? 16x18, or 18x19?
I'm in the process of experimenting with sizes as we speak.

16x18. The 18x19 was designed for a dual disk set-up. If you use it, you will have almost zero feel. The 16x18 was designed for a single disk set-up (super-moto) and works awesome.

Yeah, that's what the case seems to be. A rider at the Vegas FUSA event shared that with us - even wrote down the part number and all =)

Hope you can make it out this way sometime, we'll all be there with you!

Yeah, it's very possible. I bent the ear of just about everyone there at one point or another. =)
That was a really great weekend. Got to meet an awful lot of really good folks and watch some great racing.
Were you pitted any where near the Bartels/Slaughter crew?

I'm working with a radial 5/8 bore MC for this weekend and I'm going to try a -2 line to see if it improves anything. Using the stock MC, I've been having some serious issues with brake fade and the lever turning to mush. The only thing that I haven't changed/rebuilt so far is the line itself. We'll see hw it goes and I'll report back.

Matty:

I was pitted right next to Slaughter. I brought my bike out to Vegas in the back of my pick-up.

What pads are you using?

Explain the HD sticker?

I may put a Buell sticker on my Low Rider.....I mean, after all, Erik Buell did design the frame.

: )

HD sticker, my Buell dealer is 150 miles away my harley dealer is 2 miles away and their attitude seemed better when I went for service with the HD sticker, they are not a Buell dealer. My warranty says HD, the imprint on most bolts says HD, the inside of timing cover says HD, HD makes the motor, plus I tired of explaining a thousand times "what's a Buell ?"
