I moded my stock seat and flipped the foot brackets, but my woman still says it uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

There MUST BE A WAY!

My passenger loves to ride on mine. Maybe you need a new woman; ) (that's a joke Son) Honestly comfort is in the seat of the passenger and each passenger will fit differently. I got lucky : ) Course knowing her she might be comfy on the back of an S1 as well.

Buy a piece of "Atomic cell" super foam from Sargent Cycle and make a cover for it. Attach an elastic strap on the bottom of pad that will strap the pad onto the seat by passing under seat. Place wife on pad. Ride.

i bought my wife a new "seat". 2004 Ducati M620 Monster. she likes it a bunch, can easily run a full tank through it without stopping or complaining. The XB is suited only for young and /or smaller passengers, and very short trips. cant see any adult female enjoying more than half an hour perched on back of an XB.

I took my rear passenger foot brackets off and that solve the complaints.

Tell her to explain the discomfort and that as with any seat the padding will need to be broken in. Just saying it isn't good enough doesn't tell you why it isn't working.

BUY A CITY CROSS seat. My girl can go 200 miles a day on the back with the city cross seat and she says its perfectly comfortable. Nothing but smiles from her

I like having an uncomfortable seat for my girl, I like having my riding time to myself. The more uncomfortable the seat the more she will not ask to ride, plus it isn't very much fun hauling a passenger around on the XB, if i wanted to do that I would have bought a crusier. I say keep the seat uncomfortable, because we need to have time away from everything (girl and work) and what better way of doing that then on the bike. My girl rode with me twice last year, most of the time she doesn't like it and she is scared of bikes (she will not let me go over 45). A funny thing happened the other day, I took off my passenger pegs and she got mad at me. I told her the other day if she truely wants to ride then we will get her a Blast, but I will not buy her one until she really shows she will ride, she has to take a riders course first.

I know what you mean with the discomfort on a S model. I had a 5'4" ex GF on the back and she kept sliding down and crushing the family jewels. She is 115 lbs. also. My son is 4'8" and 80 lbs. he can ride all day and didn't slide down on me. He just make me change lanes a couple times while he was looking around.I also know what you mean about projects getting put on hold. I have a half finished race car in the garage that I haven't touched since I got my 9S. Now I have a 12R that took its place and still no work or motivation to work on the race car. LOL. Go figure. I've not had the passenger pegs since I got the bike home. Ann has no interest in bikes, but understands mine. Perfect match.

Hey The Bob, I am building a mustang mini-stock at least I started to. I figure I will have another year or so to get it finished. My 12R and GF is sucking up all my cash right now. Then I need to build a new house with a nice garage so I can keep my 12R at home for the winter. If money would just start growing on trees. LOL Brupska

I don't want any girl riding on the back of my bike, unless she hand on low rider jeans and a thong. Then at that point I would consider putting my rearsets back on.

I cured my wife from riding on the back of mine...

(1) Scrapped toe going up Palomar Mountain with her on the back.

(2) Bought a Blast for her so she would be in control.

(3) Still get to ride Solo.

My girl gets upset with me if she thinks I could have taken a curve quicker than I did. She also giggles when I scrape stuff in the curves. You don't have to buy a cruiser to have a comfy 2-up bike. Bikes like the ZRX, FZ1 and my TBS come to mind, that is if the Bolt isn't comfy enough. They make for cheap second bikes, and just because its comfy for the other person doesn't mean you can't go riding by yourself.

You guys have the wrong attitude. There is nothing finer than kissing the girl you love while your tires cool down after that stretch of curves.

Nah, I just prefer riding solo.
I love my wife, been married for over 13 years.
It's not a problem with her, or having her with me, it's not even a problem, we (Ann and I) like it better this way.

Glitch said it all. I love my girl, but its nice to have time away from each other and what better way then on the bike. And I can still kiss her while my tires cool off, it will just be at the house and not on the side of the road. And the reason I say on the side of the road is because I know she's not riding with you on track days.

Have her ride a bicycle around for a week, then see if she complains about getting a ride on the XB.

That's why I ride in the back of the pack right now. Not that I can't ride in the front, the view is much better from the back. Nothing like a hot chick in a thong and low riders on the back of the bike.. except a chick that pilots a bike in that outfit. I really need to take some pics.

No one has or will be on the back of mine for a while. It helps that my wife is pregnant, she doesn't want anything to do with getting on the back. The bike is cleaner without the pass. pegs on in my opinion.

The only way the S is going to be comfortable for two is if you do the R tail conversion.

Don't be too sure of that.
Kandie rides with me once and a while on the track.
I need to find some small leathers for her so she can do it again.
