I just got my bike dyno tuned after installing the TFI. Went from about 74 hp to 79 hp. I'll post all my bike specs and the charts when they get emailed to me. After getting it dyno tuned, I would recommend that anyone that has the TFI installed or plans on installing it get the bike dyno tuned instead of trying to do it yourself. Made a huge difference.

Good advice. I just roughed it in for now (which is as good as an SOTP dyno can get it IMO) and soon after I get my Force pipe installed I'll get it Dyno tuned.

They probably just don't want to have to adjust for the short wheelbase. Pretty typical though.

Gentleman_jon: Everything seems to be running really smooth. I had the race ecm in before. The tuning of the TFI totally smoothed it out. I'll probably be going for a good ride on it tonight. There was a bit of a hesitation when I first left the garage, but that's normal for me before the bike warms up. They charged me $150. It took about 30 runs. I don't think it should have taken that many, but we were making minor adjustments and there seemed to be drastic changes on the air/fuel curve. Just seemed a little weird. It all worked out in the end though. The only issue we had was putting the bike on the dynojet....the wheel base is too short: ) We had to put a 2x4 in the front so the rear wheel would be on the back roller.

The pipes above are the new force, on a friends XB14R. Motor by Aaron at NRHS. We are standing by for fuel mapping and then dyno numbers. I can tell you it is relatively highly stinkin LOUD.

I had the race ecm in before.

Then you put in the stock ECM when you put in the TFI? Did you try the TFI with the race ECM? Was the lower hp figures with the untuned TFI?

Cyclone= They said they don't have the program for a Buell. Didn't know they need one. I thought they just strap it down, stick the probe in the exhaust and slam the throttle. Any opinions?

On a guess I would say they are thinking of an actual "tuning" program like Dynojet offers for the Power Commanders. That is a computer mapping program that allows you to make realtime adjustments to the PCIII on the computer instead of using the pots/dials that the TFI uses.

Not the dealer in my profile Daves. I'm in Slidell, my Buell dealer is in Baton Rouge. The HD dealer i speak of is here in Slidell. They have no respect for anyone that walks in the door unless you own a high$ Harley. (but the girls like me)

When I had mine done the first time we had to crank the drum all the way up and put a block in front of the tire. Maybe they just don't have the official Buell Block

We may be waiting a while for that dyno sheet. Aaron is using the bike as a development tool in his "spare" time. As we know Aaron has a few plates in the air at all times! When the bike arrives we have GPS and Radar gun at the ready to test the taller gearing. Shazam is the owner, I'm not sure he has the ballz required to keep the throttle WFO on this beast.

What is he using for Fuel delivery? Stock/race/"real" race ECM? Techlusion? PCIII? Injectors? Did he change the cams?

So would I, it's been a long project.

I'll share all of the details of the build as soon as we have some numbers...something about counting chickens....I will say that it does run. and has been ridden.

M1..... stock ECM, PCIII, injectors were changed along with cams and a host of other things.

Not photoshopped. That's the "Tim Taylor Special".

It's going to require very special DFI mapping to accomodate the engine bogging at the critical engagement point of the mower blades. Unfortunately, wheelying while starting the mower blades is outside the range of adjustability for even the Race ECM with PCIII and Techlusion in series. The Buell Race garage has given a soft commitment that they will supply the very rare dual throat 65mm injection system and release the race ECM source code to Sam. Of course Sam's ability to read and modify the source code is the long pole in this project.
