I have thrown a check engine light and I am looking for some help in the Cincinnati area with espy unit to check my code.

You can get a cable for about $30 and a bluetooth dongle for $45, which can be used with EcmDroid (free) on your smartphone. It was really simple to get going & doesn't cost anything anymore going forward.

With the time and gas wasted going back and forth, might as well get the tools to do it yourself. Check EBay or Google.

In the interim, find the data link connector. With the connector lock at the 12 o'clock position, connect pins 1 and 2 ( the 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock position )together. I made a jumper wire; lots of folks here use a paper clip.

Turn the ign switch on, and after 8 sec a series of flashes will appear on the check engine light. Count them, and you have the trouble code.
