Just got back and had my first ride. Don't know how you east coasters do it with out riding in the snow. would have to get me a traily or something to be able to ride year long.
So bay area buellers lets get riding.
Oh buckinfubba, I heard my girl emailed you. Is she getting me a present or should I fire her? J/K

You must be talking about the Yankees.
I don't snow here, or maybe once in a blue moon. I've always ridden year round.

I've tried riding in the snow. Not a pleasant experience. Probably the only time I've ridden that I was more stresseed out by the time I got home than when I started!

It depends on if you're talking riding in the snow literally or just when there's snow on the ground. I ride year round in MN because if it goes a week or so without fresh snow, the roads are dry. The temps might be near zero but it's fun to take the bike out when there's 2' on the ground. It beats winterizing the bike and waiting for spring!

Riding IN the snow.

Went to work in the morning - 20 degrees and clear. Came out at 5pm and there was 4 inches of snow all over everything. Nerve wracking!

Whoa that would suck! I don't mind getting caught in the rain in the summer but in winter I only go out for joyrides in "controlled conditions". Next time bring chains!

Hey, Eric! Maybe when I get my replacement bike, we can go out and do some "bad weather biking." Nils is too much of a wuss to ride in the rain, let alone snow, but you might have to get a chisel to pry my hands from the bars before I stop riding. I've got a lot of time to make up. Sitting around not able to ride is driving me crazy!!!

Maybe that's the next Buell idea? A snow bike for year round riding. A TRUE white lightning. Studded tires and all... Yea, that's it...
