So when changing out my primary oil recently this is what I found. Seems like water in the oil would do this, creating some creamy, frothy goodness.

At the same time I found a lot more metal shavings on the wimpy magentic head of the primary drain plug.

Any thoughts on this? Is it good, bad, or nothing to be concerned about? Is something in my primary going to implode? :-(

Comparison to cleaned up plug.

Ride it longer to build the temp it needs to burn off the condensation.

Also, it's a common problem. Yours does not look too bad, but many get moisture entering the primary through the boot around the adjuster for the clutch cable. Check that out, a zip tie around the top often solves it.

Thanks all, I feel better knowing it's pretty common. I already ride long enough and often enough to get the bike nice and hot, so that's not doing the trick. I'll check the boot around the adjuster and try the zip tie fix.

Thanks!
