No. Read Englishman's review of the FAST system in the Velocity Stack thread. It goes under the blanket (which doesn't make much sense to me).

It doesn’t make sense to me either. I would think it should be sending the cooler air temperature to the ECM. …Where are all the smart guys? ? What’s the correct placement?
Maybe that’s the difference between the 3 hp gain and the 6 hp gain. Help help help the old guy is confused....

I was wondering this myself.
What I was thinking:
If the IAT thinks it hot less fuel is added to the mixture.
If the IAT thinks it's cold more fuel is added to the mixture.

Hopefully Jens or Alex will chime in on this as it's their product and what they've been posting proves to me they are very smart and know what they are doing.

Hello to all who are still interest in that theme.

On my office table I have a velocity Stack used }as a pencil holder. That is one of the prototypes we made while we developing the FAST System. This one has a opening to place the IAT Sensor directly in the airstream..... one of the wrong ways pointing to nowhere. We have done road and Dynotesting in (we think) nearly any possible configuration/placement and we have made in the end the decission to place the IAT Sensor under the Thinsulationmatt and barbecue him a bit. The decission for that was not so much (@Fed sorry -no thats not the 3 HP) the Dyno or the A/F Meter Results, it was the 2000 miles Roadtest were we found out that this is the right place. We know by ourself that this place is from the first view a bit strange (-: but trust our (and our customers) expirience, or not.

Please understand Alex and my works and the FAST Airsystem as a first result for the developing of a complete Tuningconcept. Starting with the Airfeeding, over Trottlebody, Heads, Cylinders to the exhaust system. Not to forget the Injection/Ignition System. For a simple Airsystem all this testing and datacollecting is a bit too much action.

Today our 1160cc M-TeK SHORTSTROKE ATTACK Engine will have his first run and again there is starting a time of testing and developing what will took months.

We keep you informed!

Jens
