I have this figured out! (I think) My oil leak ONLY appears when I park at work. My garage is clean and anywhere else I park it is clean. So I notice more oil under my left side footpeg again at work. I park in an underbuilding garage with steep ramps going down three levels. Why would this cause a leak? Is something overfilled? |

it might not be an oil leak, its possibly the overflow of the gastank...in which it comes out on the left side behind the footpeg... |

Are you sure it's engine oil and not tranny fluid? Is the oil evident anywhere ON the bike? ...I'm assuming the bike itself is still parked (relatively) level, even with the ramps. |

In my bike I run 15w-50 Mobil 1 in both the primary and motor... Like I said, have u snugged the oil lines?... In order to reach them all, you'll have to remove the chin fairing and oil filter...Just tightening the lines you can see and easily reach won'y do the trick... kk//kef |

I am not leaking in the front of the bike. It is in the rear by the footpeg. I ran my hand over the bike hoping to pick up a trace and nothing. It is parked level as well. At first, I thought it was moisture coming from the tip of the exhaust. It is translucent and lightly tan in color. |

You might try wiping the underside of the bike clean and then dusting it with baby powder or maybe some type of spray on talcum ( when you get to work ). Then check it when you get ready to leave. If there is oil on the ground, the powder should give you a traced line to the source. If no line, or evidence, check your co-workers![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/bouncegrab.gif) |

You don't mess with a man's ride. ...I've got some really fun grease from years ago that makes a GREAT 'practical joke' medium...the stuff does NOT come off and is one of the slipperiest substances I've ever come across. We used to coat tools in it at work, then laugh our asses off when crescent wrenches went flying like wet bars of soap. Great when applied to telephones, door handles, etc... |
