1125 without a doubt. I would sell my 9R in a heartbeat if I had the extra cash to get a 1125.

The 1125 has a 6 speed trans and tops out at 10.5k rpm, 3.7k higher than the XB12.

CR would be my pick, if it was me.

I'm not you, I don't know what you want, how you ride, etc, so it is hard for me to say for you. I have two 1125s and two XBs, the 1125 is my pick.

If you do go with the CR, factor in some extra money for the EBR stator kit, which you may end up needing one day.

XB= American made engine with few problems.

1125+ austrian motor and more than a few problems. Just check out the 1125 board on this site if you don't want to take my word for it. Now some of the guys will say the motor is American built but it is NOT. It is however assembled in the USA>

o.O

"More than a few problems"?

The 08s have the following issues:
- Terrible fueling. Latest map fixes a lot of this, but the EBR Race ECU fixes everything here.
- Early 08s have a bad cluster that will kill the battery quickly. Known issue, easy cluster replacement fix.
- Clutch weep, not a big deal, warranty covers it else EBR now has a better clutch actuator.

09s just have the clutch weep & stator issues. EBR appears to have fixes for both.

No comparison between the two engines. The XB motors are decent motors, but the 1125 motor is an absolutely incredible engine. The CR will walk all over the XB in anything you want to do.

You can make an 1125 sound pretty decent, not to mention get a pretty serious boost in performance by putting something like this on it.

Few problems? How about terrible stock fueling, crummy cranks, stator issues, primary chain nuts that fall off, clunky transmissions, clutch cables that snap, oil pump gears that grind themselves to pieces, isolators that deteriorate in a few thousand miles, gaskets that leak, headlights that melt, and vibrations that wear holes in the wiring. Those were only the ones I can list off the top of my head. The XB is an unreliable piece of garbage compared to the 1125. Even in my real wold experience, I have had less warranty work done to my two 1125s in 30,000 miles than my Ulysses had in only 10,000 miles.

Some people enjoy the zen of motorcycle maintenance.

65k and counting on my 'unreliable piece of garbage'... It hasn't been without its problems but it's always gotten me home.

That doesn't mean I don't still want an 1125 to keep it company in the garage though. Ride both and go with the one you like the best, then buy the other when another deal comes along.

Wow dramatic differences in opinions. I think I'm goin with the 12R as I am more likely to be able to work on it myself and I had one in the past. Just to let u all know I scored an '09 12R with 6,000 miles for 5000. They also have a 09 CR for 3999. Not sure about the mile. Good deals, yeah??? Thanks for all the help and I will be on here alot.

Where's the CR at? For that price, it's worth traveling for.

Angleton, TX. GOE HARLEY DAVIDSON. I think it was sold already. Was on the website but not now. That is where I got my 12R from.

How do you pass up a deal like that on a 1125CR?

Last time I checked on Goe Harley Davidsons site it wasnt listed anymore. Somebody pick it up. Its a good deal.I didn't cause it is still only 2 years into the production. A little weary. I remember hearing all the griping about the 08's.

All these bike have their own problems.

I seen that the bike was gone from their website. I only put the link up for reference and so others can see. I seriously doubt they sold the bike for that cheap. I seen other listings for the exact same bike for $5995.

>>> I remember hearing all the griping about the 08's.

Nothing more than a simple reflash corrected the majority of gripes. The stator for the '08 model is very much desirable. If I were in the market for an 1125, it would be an '08 for sure.

There also was a lot of griping 10 years ago when the XB first came out.

The 08 1125R is great, so is the 2009 and 2010 models.
