My wife got me a great thing! Took the artist 3 weeks to custom engrave the ring, and put the diamonds in! HOW SWEET IT IS!

A wedding band is supposed to signify the love & unity you have with your spouse. Not be a advertisment for anything. Personally I think its just plain wrong to do something like that.

Joojoo, Personally I think this was a pretty cool and unique thing for your wife to do. But don't let anyone else's opinion sway you, what matters is how you feel about your wife's gift.

Cool ring? Yes.

As a wedding band? No.

But thats just my opinion. So long as you like it thats all that matters.

Nothing to apologize for.

I still dont think its appropriate for a wedding band.

But like I said, so long as he likes it then its all good.

Dyna, the worse thing is the word "wedding" NOT the advertisement. (Shudder). He should just be happy it didn't have a dotted line so she could take half of it in The Settlement! JOKING DAMMIT!

Sweet - I'd love to have one. Not my idea of a wedding band, but still an awesome ring, and as noted, VERY cool of your wife!

Where did she have it done?

Very understanding wife dude.

Don't listen to Dyna, he shouldn't be diss'n you. Opinions are ok but when you start trying to force them on others it's wrong. Don't think he made many friends with his "attitude" post.

I don't believe that I would hitch my plans for a lifetime of wedded bliss to any "Brand Name". Sadly, like marriages unfortunately, they are all subject to a early demise based, in part, on unfavorable economic conditions.

Joojoo,
Cool!
My titanium wedding ring was made in a BMW workshop. Size was determined by sticking the finger in gudgeon pin holes of various pistons until we found a good one : )
There will always be someone that wants to put you down. Ignore. Enjoy.

I dont think its the best idea for a wedding ring. it signifies your devotion to each other and your family, not your motorcycle.

Would i be happy if my wife had a picture of a shopping bag engraved into her ring.

Im not knocking you joo joo. i guess this is and isnt related to you. I personally think that its the wrong place for this kind of ring and is trashy.

this is my opinion and i am entitled to it. seems that a lot of strings are showing under bikinis nowadays and it makes it kinda sad to lurk around here nowadays. I dont really think that this has anything to do with dyna riding an r1 but if the r1 forums are any bit more mature or up to listen to peoples objections, you can bet what my next bike will be.
a buell is a great bike and i love my bike and have respect for erik. but it just seems that most of you bought it just to be different. If you wanna be different, try getting along with each other because it seems that nobody tries to do this anymore. dont spend 8-10 g to be different because your fooling yourself.

I bought my buell because of the sales pitch. that it was a practical sportsbike with lots of pull.

at the time i had 2 kids and a wife that i needed to look out for. i immediately decided that i will get the bike after my msf course.

4 months later, i brought the bike home and love it.

this post has turned me into an official threadjacker and im sorry for

A. saying something that you may not like.

B. stealing your thread

but we have to grow up and respect each others opinions and not jump on one person because he has something to say that is "different"

Jeff Roy...4 posts & you are bitching already?
It might be time for him to move on to a R1 list.
Not your call to make, plenty of folks on this board own & ride bikes other than Buells.

Oh my God is that ever profound.

Sheeple will always disagree with anything that goes against their own ideas.

Joo-Joo, enjoy the ring. Hope it helps you enjoy many happy years of wedded bliss.

It's a meaningful symbol between JooJoo and his wife. They love it and it symbolizes their love for one another. It could have been a cigar band for all that matters, but that cigar band means something to both of them.

"saying something that you may not like"

And sometimes it's better not to say anything at all.

JooJoo's pumped about his ring, so I'm happy for the guy.
Dyna's pumped about his new R1, so I'm happy for the guy.
It's ok to just say something nice without the unfavorable opinion, or just choose to say nothing at all.

There is a right time and wrong time for an opinion, even in a forum.

It's a great ring JooJoo, send your wife some flowers because she deserves them.

WOW....Such a heavy debate over such a little ring........Guys! Heres the deal with the ring...She knows I hate wearing jewelery....SO, in hopes of me keeping it on my finger, she had it engraved with my favorite bike brand....Does she love me...yes. Does she think Ill wear a regular wedding band without losing it...Nope. Does she know that this ring will stay on my finger and not get lost...yip.

So, all good. I just wanted you guys to all see my new Buell ring....

hope you like it!

everyone does have their own opinion and is entitled to it, our forefathers fought and died for that right, and im not gonna argue with it.

HOWEVER, some one posts something that is near and dear to them, and posting of negative opinions serve NO purpose to ANYONE except the little pricks that post them.

if you dont have anything nice to say.....

a buell is a great bike and i love my bike and have respect for erik. but it just seems that most of you bought it just to be different. If you wanna be different, try getting along with each other because it seems that nobody tries to do this anymore. dont spend 8-10 g to be different because your fooling yourself.

in case you didnt notice, its the squid that hates Buells that we are disagreeing with here.

IF we all bought a bike to be different, we should all be the same??????

Dyna would think thats profound, sheesh, like a thumbtack that one.

Mantrap,

for the record, squid is on the r1-forum. you should see the he posts about us over there...
