Someone with an Scg is looking to buy a Micron. They asked if it will fit. We don't get the Scg in Australia so I have no experience.

I had someone a few weeks ago with an Scg say that they had heard that there is a problem with chin spoiler clearance. I asked a supplier and they haven't heard anything particular about the fit on an Scg.

If the angles of the lower headers aren't right the chin spoiler can burn on the exhaust of any model.

Anyone with any experience?

no personal experience here, but the bikes are identical, save for the suspension. It should be no problem, sounds like user error on the previous installs.

hopefully somone chimes in with the first hand experience you are looking for.

The chin spoiler is a bit of a pain for the Micron. It isn't specific with the SCG, it has to do with the crappy mounts on the muffler.

The XB Micron fits all XB models except the Uly. They made a different version for the Uly, only difference is the exhaust tips point lower, this allows it to clear the belt guard.

Yea you just have to make sure the bolts are on good, also LOCTITE THEM!

Otherwise you will end up with this when the rattle out:

You don't need a Micron for them to rattle out...

That isn't a Micron exhaust though is it : )

Micron went out of business over 2 years ago now so anything for sale will either be old stock or used. bear in mind that you will not be able to get any spare parts for this exhaust system should you require them : (

It is a Micron Matt. It has silver ceramic coated headers and a black ceramic coated muffler.

It's a bit more recognisable front on

I bought up all I could when Micron went bust. The Australian dollar was low then (64c US) so they have been expensive and sales have ticked over rather than runaway.

I sold the one to the Scg today and someone has reserved my last one, so I am out. The last few had ceramic coated headers like the picture so they were the most expensive ones.

Tuning was another issue. I talked a lot of people out of them for 08 and 09 models because of tuning. Now at least there is the EB Racing tuning system and the new ECMSpy.

It's a shame to see them go. I love mine.
