Does this look familiar to anyone? I thought the stack theory was found to be a bust. Aren't these the same guys that stirred things up a few months back?

Yup, that's them, but it looks like they might have made some modifications to it; or at least they changed some wording.

Initial performance gains are 4-7 rwHP* with this kit on a stock XB9R/S. Over 8 rwHP* with a Buell Race Kit and our air box modifications.

Hmmm funny I dont recall any dyno runs being made by folks here that proved it.

Corey posts over on ATC every now & then. Right now it seems like he wants to jump in bed with that TI pipe...or maybe he actually is Rob Hughes???

The perspex thingy copies the 12 airbox air guide but is longer to match the shorter stack. This combo will produce a change in the graph, most dramatically if compared to a stock 9.Theoretically this could help replace the mid-range that a shorter stack normally loses.
I knew that I should have used a longer funnel from the hardware store when I built the Remmurd!

I think any HP gains showing on their dyno chart is from the 12 type "nipple"!

No bids as of yet. Do you think the badweb had any educational value to prospective buyers???

Buy a 12 airbox for $35 bucks and be done with it!

I know your group does not like outsiders, but I want to let you know my experiences with the SVVS. I recently purchased one of these units and have been pleased with the results. My bike is all factory stock, less the airbox modification and velocity stack. The bike's throttle response has improved and I've noticed the motor "spools up" quicker. That is, the motor is increasing rpm's at a faster rate than before. This product did not produce miracles, as some of you may expect from any bolt on, but it has made improvements. I am now able to take advantage of a broader "sweet spot" in the torque curve. I am sorry, however, I do not have dyno sheets to support my claims. I do understand how important these are on this site. These are only my opinions and observances while on the bike.

Should I have bashed this product? Dyna, is there an non-published number of post required before an opinion is given? Like I said, it is clear you gentlemen do not like outsiders. Sorry I jumped into your sand box.

Dear Newbie,

The product was independantly dyno'd & showed no gains at all. We have all dealt with Corey & Byron in the past & wish to have no further dealings with them.

Have a great day.
Love Dyna

Dear Thick Skull,
I did not start this thread. I simply entered my post. This is, after all, a discussion board. If your group does not wish to discuss certain products, do not start a discussion about them. Otherwise, quit trying to intimidate others not to post their input.
I am feeling the love,
GMAN

This wasnt a discussion about the stack..we already had that one & you missed it. Like I said independent tests proved it to be snake oil & Corey & Byron business tactics were extremely poor.

So tell us the truth now, how involved in this deal are you with the 2 of them?

"The Stack is Back!" Did you take time to read the title? Dyna, you make me laugh. When you can't find a foot hold to grab onto and argue about, you try to redirect and then attempt another angle (accusations). Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not involved with "the 2 of them". I am, however, sorry I missed your previous discussion. Dyna, I have read some of this site's discussions on "the 2 of them" and their "snake oil" some months ago. I also recall an independent test on another v-stack someone else made. This stack did not have any gains. Are you sure you are not mistaking this stack for the SVVS?

Same design. Corey or Byron sent Bubba a stack to dyno & thats when the shit hit the fan. Byron is a straight up liar, Corey can be a decent guy but needs to tone down the bullshit. Wild claims like how he was working with Buell to develop an XB15 for example. Some of the Buell folks piped in with their own thoughts & they came to the same conclusions we all did.

And the title of this thread was meant as a joke..kinda like that bad penny that keeps coming back.

And I find it very curious that your very first post is one defending a product & suppliers that we here have found fraudulent at best. Most folks first post is something along the lines of "hi im new here & own a blah blah yakkity yak, etc". Most of the time when the first post is similar to yours the person is usually involved to some degree.

Dyna, I truly apologize. Hi, I am new here & I own a 2003 XB9S. I guess it's too late for the rest of that blah, blah, yakkity, yak. I'm sorry to go against the grain I simply wanted to state my experience with the SVVS. I am, however, still standing by my claim of improvements. I am not saying this thing is like sticking a nitrous bottle on the passenger peg. I am simply saying the product yielded a noticeable improvement. I did not mean to come across as defending anything. Only stating the truth as I see it. I noticed in another thread discussing the XB12 upper air box someone described by installing this to the XB9 by it smoothed everything out (the powerband, I suppose). Well, maybe this is how I should have described the SVVS, however, I did not. The SVVS replaces an inferior part that was installed by Buell. I am not saying that Buell's design is inferior, only this part. Perhaps it was made of rubber to simplify production, maybe it was to keep cost low. I do not dare to guess why. Can you not agree that a part not produced by the manufacturer can be superior in quality and/or performance as the original manufacturer's part? Don't kid yourself, Dyna, haven't you got something on your ride(s) that you did not buy already in place? Did the group (as a majority) agree that a XB12 upper air box makes an improvement? SVVS's inverted is based on the same design. Snake oil? From Mr. Buell? I think not. Now, Dyna, I'd love to stay up all night and argue with you (about as much as a root canal), but I need to get some sleep. I have an early meeting in the morning. Maybe I can come back tomorrow, if I don't have to work too late, and you can take your frustrations out on me some more (for everyone else's entertainment). If not, it has been a pleasure chatting with you. Have a good night.
God Bless!
Garrick

I was here reading this board when the tests were done on the alum. copy of the stk rubber v-stack, and yes I believe there was no improvement indicated in the dyno run. I do think I missed the test on a more open and shorter stack. Perhaps someone could find the dyno's of that test that everyone keeps refering to?

Zip, I think you just stumbled on to the point. There is no independent test on the other stack. If they would give one up for testing they might sell more. I would not recommend someone buying this until they saw proof that it did something, it may decrease performance.

Stick around. Few here dislike outsiders, some of us even welcome them for the fresh and new viewpoints they might offer. Welcome aboard, there's room for almost anyone.
