Can anyone tell me what the minimum necessary cold cranking amps are for a battery to start an XB motor? | ||

I can tell you that 100 CCA is not enough! so i bought last weekend a Odyssey PC545 that has 185 CCA (had to customize the battery bracket a little) Now i have to test it on the long run ,but first start was oke'! | ||

min - dunno. but the more the merrier. HD batteries, around 200 CCA, are made to deal with turning over the v-twins. People say good things about the Odyssey, but one thing I know is you won't go wrong with HD (even though, like their oil, they don't make batteries. No idea who does make them, though. Deka?) | ||

I bought this Xtreme with 200 CCA:  It was only $69 bucks. But it is not adequate for the 20 degree days, it strains so much it resets the clock. Any sane temperature it'll work fine. But still, not to happy with it. |
