Does anybody have a picture of a XB with single round headlight installed. I like the look of the single headlight and may try to install one this winter on my XB12STT |

Look in the photo section. A guy put a giant 8" baja designs racing light on a XB. Week or two ago. |

Better hurry up Wolf, I'm ahead of you! M2 headlight already in possession, Streetfighter II slotted mounts and Puig Raptor bikini fairing already in the mail. I think I may add a wire mesh headlight guard as well. Give me a week, and I should have some pics for you. ~SM |

I saw the thread title and thought Swordsman started the thread, but it looks like he shared the crazy beer with Wolf! |

Ha, yeah, I almost feel guilty about going to a single headlight after all the part numbers Froggy helped me with for an R fairing conversion. Almost. I actually bought half the stuff for the R conversion before I changed my mind. I gotta' unload a new-in-box R fairing stay on Ebay now... hopefully some wacko will offer more than book value like so many other listings are going for, and I can offset the cost of my single headlight! ~SM |

BTW, here are the pics of the one with the baha light. Frikkin' BADASS. Love that "industrial" look. ~SM |

That actually looks pretty sweet and I'll bet it's friggin BRIGHT! I was thinking about trying a single headlight but couldnt really picture it. Looks good, I'm thinking I'll have to get into this conversion too. |

If I could make mine kinda look like a S1 I would be way happy. |

Is that thing on top of the light the valve you use to regulate the headlight fluid? I think I'd get some acrylic and make a cove for the back of the gauges. Clear is easy to get and you might be able to dye it. I think I might have to send the forks out to be anodized black too and get the triples power coat matte black to match the frame. Then maybe the same wood grain/marble/whatever it is on the engine side cover to match the tank. |

BTW, Hella makes some large single high/low lights and buckets that you might want to check out. Pretty sure they have a 7 or 8 inch round, and I think they may have a 10 inch. Rally lights in PA is a good place to start: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/ |

Mine should look relatively close to this once I get it installed. I got it in a dark smoke tint to match my airbox cover.

"Is that thing on top of the light the valve you use to regulate the headlight fluid?" I noticed that! Looks just like a water hose knob. I think it may be a dial you can use to turn the lamp left and right inside the framework. ~SM |

My Blast already has the single headlight look. I like the twin light on the XB. |

I like that big Hella on there. I know I've seen pics of a VRod light on something on here. Maybe a search will find it. It's not too bad. |

Unbelievable! I got my fairing in today and excitedly held it up to my M2 headlight... and it doesn't fit! The fairing is supposed to fit 7"-8" lights, but after measuring the M2 housing, it's closer to 9". The fairing simply can't wrap around it. Dang! I really like this fairing... I wonder how much it'll cost to get a SV650 headlight...? ~SM |

Actually, the M2 fairing was my original intent, but then I happened on this Puig and liked it better. It's about the same tint as my Kick Ash airbox (mine is freakishly darker than any other one I've seen), which I thought would be cool. However, I've just discovered that I'm an idiot and had the thing rigged up incorrectly. I think it will work, just not the way I thought it would. I'll wait until my mounts come in before I make the final call. ~SM |

Kinda makes me want to hit the swap meets again... I loved doing that when I had my Road King.... find some old piece of crap thing and fix it up and put it on the bike... Now I have something new to go looking for... |

Could you make a Blast headlight work? Although this post doesn't include the flyscreen and bracket, there are probably a good number of Blast parts around to work with... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/462095.html?1243737454 |

Damn you all, now that picture is haunting me! I've always wondered what that single light would look like on an XB, and that thing is awesome; I can't believe how absolutely industrial and perfect it looks. OK, can anyone Photoshop a BMW R90 or XLCR fairing around that light? Imagine a REAL headlight on a Firebolt! |

When I had my Firebolt.... that was the next thing to do on my list. One old school single round light fairing... vintage Duc looking was what I wanted. |

Strato9r, find me a source picture and I can do the chop to the best of my abilities. Preferably one with the bike positioned the same way as the second photo above, that way I minimize the distortion. Also the higher the resolution the better. |

Fahren, I think they're the same light (judging from the pic in that link). You know how Buell likes to recycle parts! ~SM |

The only issue I see is getting the high beam to work. Both the high and low beam on the XB have the same power output, don't they? Just aimed differently. So are you guys just foregoing the high beam on your lights or are you rewiring the whole set up? |
