We are working on free spreed sheets. the template is accurate and almost done.

feel free to jump in and help if you like. these will start on my website and expand everywhere. free to download and use all you like.

as more people apply data the better and better they will get. these will be open source fully changeable at all times.

down side is this is a ecmspy supplement for 2008 and up bikes.
we are 1/2 way done.

I am in pc school and have limited time. expect it sometime this winter. be ready in the spring.

we have a lot of cells to apply out formula to so it takes time these have to be hand done one cell at a time from scratch.

I sure this will make a few people happy and piss off a few.

but I dont care if they get mad microsoft excel is free and I am using it. open source free.

will post up again about it once done.

these sheets will have twice the function as the current sheets including the solenoid cut off no cel and ect.. the fuel chart changes color to cell value. so if you have a typo you will see it. the graphs will slide to cell values. again a typo you can see it. this has been the biggest problem i have seen. typo issues.

"this is a ecmspy supplement for 2008 and up bikes.". What is meant by this? It works in conjunction with ecmspy?

I've had ecmspy hooked up to my 08, the cells are all jumbled. How would you enter the data on the spread sheets to the bike? I assume you would have spread sheets for different mods?

the cells on the left at the actual values from the ecm with its location in relation to ecmspy.

just like the OHB sheets you buy. these are made using the same program

microsoft excel we are adding in much more data. we are writing all our own code. the sheets will do nothing in ecmspy they will give you the values to input into the eeprom then burn with ecmspy.

all codes will be open and free to see. unlike sheets you buy. you have full control. our sheets should be done soon.

we did a lot of work today. more everyday till they are ready. once the first sheet is done from there its going to go faster on each version.

2008 and up.

is pissed because someone used the same idea as he had/has.

These sheets will be free. get ecmspy how ever you can. buy the cables from many different sources or build your own.

(we are writing our own coding . we have no clue as to what coding used.

I am in school doing programming stuff. see youtube on excell as well as microsoft they have help vids.

also excell vba for dummies. lol

the sheets will tell you what to input and where in the eeprom.

Will they tell you where to get your bike fixed after you void the warranty (ANY mod, good or bad to the ECM does) and blow it up. . .

Scary stuff.

Will these only work on 2008 and newer bikes?

2007 and earlier can use ECMspy directly.

Please test with Open Office so that people are not required to own an MS product. Open Office is also free.

Anyone worried about warranty should not go through and mod the intake and exhaust, claims could just as easily be denied due to modifications to the hard parts. These products (ECMspy, spread sheet, Direct Link) have always been "Use at own risk". Mt only concern is how will people know what cells to change and by how much?

COURT IS CORRECT IF YOU CHOOSE TO ALTER YOUR ECM !!!! YOUR WARRANTY IS VOID!!!!!!

NEW SCREEN SHOT. MORE WORK STILL TO COME.

Well, assuming that you can read the eeprom and save it as a file, and then write that file back to the eeprom, would anyone know if it has been tampered with?

I recall reading about someone who ended up bricking his ECM, he couldn't even upload the stock EEPROM to it anymore.

Wouldn't matter one bit . . .the company I bought my 2008 Ulysses from is open and I have 5 more years of warranty.

I'll pass.

Decide for yourself.

Incorrect statement, should have been. I deal with it all the time! If u modify the ECM and they can prove that it caused the problem, engine blew, powertrain warranty will be void and then it becomes ur baby. All other warranty stays in tact. Check the laws, this has already been to the highest court. They can't deny warranty for added aftermarket parts unless proven that it caused the problem.

My 2 cents

My two cents.
All due respect to Court...but

What good is a bike that runs like crap because it's too lean.
The surging is dangerous. Try splitting lanes on a bike that can't be controlled.
MY CR literally, sat in the garage for almost four months after I bought it until I got that....aftermarket program. And this was after the latest and greatest maps ("flashs") were installed, (early in the year).
If your header tubes are red hot...that's way too lean, and not enough ignition timing.
They both can easily be fixed.

That "aftermarket" program made...at least my bike...throttle controlable, fun to drive.

Hats off to you Mike (xopti-) for doing what you are doing.
And I thought you guys (the guy from Ohio) were friends....!

I'm with Mike, hats off to you guys for sharing what you are doing.

After dealing with Harleys for many many years I know how dealerships try to get out of warranty work but when you mention the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act you get better response ; ) And thats one reason we save the original map right?? ; )

And as with everything some people are happy leaving things the way they are and then there are the rest of us just looking to make things a little better. I have been the happy owner of an 08 Uly for a week now and was content to ride it as is until I saw the glowing red pipe after a 3 minute warm up after work in 40 degree weather. Thats just not right, so until these guys get everything figured out I am taking care of it the Harley way lol. ( yea I know thats a bad word here )

Greg,

The spreadsheets work partially with OpenOffice, but much of the functionality provided by Excel disappears. I am working on making sure that this is minimized, so people do not need to buy Microsoft $hit to use the sheets.

so far no special formulas are used. only tables tabs and basic functions are used.

it should cross to open office very easy.

let us get the excel done then we can work on the other type.

we have to get all the data into the sheets before we can move to other ecms and other versions.

This is for ground to a new something later in life.

something like!!!!
these guys make!!!! but made from scratch.

Our goal is to one day make something that works like this for the track. auto tune ride and tune. push a button and your done. how sweeeeetttttt!!!!!
It works for them so it can be done. the master system for the buell in Indiana where its made may have this feature already, But I'll never know.

This is what we need to work on:
http://www.diyefi.org/

Found out that the Mega/Micro squirts have gone to a closed project now that many of the bugs have been worked out by the users. It's all about the money now so time to change direction and try to get a real open source plug and play system for these machines. So while you guys are doing this spread sheet stuff I'll by working on seeing where that EFI project really is and seeing what I can do to push it along.

While we are on the subject I thought I would post a cpl of Harley oriented links that could also apply to Buells. This guy has been around a long time and has had a lot of success. As I have have only been a Bueller for a week this is the first place I went when I found out the ECMspy wasn't really a viable option on an 08 yet. He was actually working on some Buell options but there seemed to be a lack of interest. It seems that even though Harley and Buell are somewhat integrated we instinctively avoid each other.

Hiwaymanks, the FI systems are totally different in Buell and Harley setups. Also, Directlink software can be used to tune your 08.
