I am on getting an address I figured I give them a day to get back to me then I will see about breaking the po box and well it's on them. If they don't come through they prove they are the bad guys and they are exposed and would have to pay for everyones bad deals.

The place may or may not be an outright RIP-OFF or just be a sloppy business. I seriously doubt there is a brick-n-mortar storefront....it is most likely a third party operation (if it is not an outright rip-off)...where the customer orders a part, pays for it, and the "business" orders the part to be drop shipped directly from the manufacturer...which would be a good way to do business in so far as the cheapest possible price can be given for an item since there is no overhead, no inventory, and no warehousing or labor expense...as long as the customer is aware up front that the order will take a long time to be filled.

Anybody with some money can have a powerful website that attracts a lot of traffic...the question is...what is behind the "screen".

Gary,

I tried several times yesterday. For some reason, the Customer Service Department was always "closed" and only sent me to an answer machine. The one time I did connect with someone, I was "accidentally" disconnected while waiting for them to look up the tracking number.

It is not looking good. I'll try again today, though.

I agree with Fast. It probably isn't an outright ripoff since they wouldn't even be answering phones right now if they were.

I suspect it is just a sloppy business that carries no inventory and almost no employees. If they can't produce a valid tracking number in the next few days, though, I think it would be time to get ugly by filing with the Post Office and BBB.

Thanks guys,

I have heard the business is possibly operating out of a house, and yes, they order in every item. I have attempted to file a complaint with the post office but the electronic form makes no allowance for people outside America so I hope I succeeded, will let you know.

I would love you guys to get their address and front them, they would shit themselves because of the number of people they have pissed off.

One of their scams is to charge a 20% restocking fee, they would be making a fortune on this alone as they don't have anything to restock.

If you could get an address I would post it on the web, I reckon he would be lucky to last the week out before someone hospitalized him.

Regards Buelllord

If you google for their support phone number you will discover a Harley parts website too. And you will discover an email for some guy named Iggy but I didn't get much farther than that. Might be worth looking in the Wayback machine for older versions of their site and see if it lists an address to a real chunk of property.

By the way it looks like Iggy spent some time spamming Linux and Unix mailing lists, that is what most of the hits for his name produced.

To add to the mess...some manufacturers have a minimum order...if ajax exhaust requires a minimum order of XXX.XX...which is more than the cost of one exhaust, they may hold the order until enough of them are ordered to meet the minimum...this can greatly drag out the lead time on the order. So a valid order may take weeks or months to meet minimum...especially if the brand in question is a slow mover.

We sell ice machines third party...we have ads out to put us in the public view...if someone calls for a machine, we go over the process with the customer...if approved, we get credit card or other payment...call the distribution center and have the unit drop shipped to the customer...short and sweet...since we only spend a little time processing the order, there is virtually no overhead and as a result, we can sell at a very small margin.

The customer has to wait typically a week for shipment by standard truck freight, but the option of rapid transport is offered at additional cost...when the unit gets there, it is the customer's responsibility to unload it from the truck, install it themselves or hire someone locally to do it, and find the local warranty people for warranty work.

This is very popular for people whose only concern is the lowest possible price in an ultra competitive market where markup is usually less than 20%...which is quite a bit below average retail margin.

One of my favorite expressions is "quality, service, price....pick any two" think about it...on a personal level
I usually choose quality and service.

Our fine sponsors are a great place to shop...I have never had bad service from any of them that I have used...

Good work Andy! Thanks to that address:

Courtesy of Google Maps. They're labeled. Looks like that's as close as you can get though... no street view.

According to yellowpages.com, their local number (973-956-7227) is listed under the name Parts Infinity, Inc., at the same street address. How many different "businesses" is this guy operating out of the same building?

You have to wonder how much money is shuffled through these different companies, seems like an almost ideal set up to launder illegal monies.

Haha, check out the "careers" section. Hey...there's an idea. Someone in the area should apply for the customer service position and get on the inside...just don't drink the Kool-Aid.

God I love you guys !

Yes, that is another of their trading names, well done all you secret agents.

If you could drop by Brumbear, maybe take some of your larger friends [the ones with attitude problems] and just confirm for me that they have sent my order [order number 77334 going to 35a Grenville St. Perth, Western Australia 6060].

If any of you are web inteligent, could you make sure their address is displayed on the internet as I am sure there are many more bike riders that would like to pay them a visit to recoup their stolen money.

i wish i could join in the fun !!!!

Regards Buelllord

P.S. let me know what happens.}}}

Pogue,

I have contacted police and sherrifs department but it really is almost impossible from the other side of the world. They don't appear to be interested.

And I mean the other side of the world. The time difference between Perth and New Jersey is exactly 12 hours, but thanks for the input.

I used to do some automation repair work for Wilcom Australia (I'm in Georgia). Only thing was, they never bothered to give me any training, and I'm a frickin' art major, so robotics was a completely alien concept (long story how the job came about). Anyway, to get anything done, I had to use an old installation manual and make phone calls in the middle of the night to ask them what to do the next day. I know all about how tricky those logistics are!

I'm shipping a tank to Coolum Beach, Aust tomorrow! Other side of the island from you...but that realization kinda makes the world feel a bit smaller.

Communication has been tough- I always need to check my email at night, otherwise a simple communication takes 2 days!

Pogue,

I have tried just about every department in New Jersey including the US postal service. The one line forms you have to fill out don't allow for someone from overseas, they only work from within the states.
The US post said they need a tracking number before they can do anything which is why I have been chasing Exotic now for 2 months.
This is why I got onto the forum in the first place, to try and get a tracking number but I don't think they actually use them, hence I don't know if anything has actually been sent.
I am hoping Brumbear can front them at their office and get a definite response as to whether or not they have sent my exhaust because they wont reply to my emails and it is now 2.5 months since I paid them.
