I think my front brakes need a total overhaul- clicking, clunking, pulsating, occasionally ok, then bad again but generally weak overall. Instead of new rotors etc I was thinking of a total swap of forks, front wheel and calipers etc from another bike, perhaps something from a Japanese bike. Ive seen the tuber mod done before, and I think the ohlins/ducati route would be too expensive. Anyone have any ideas of what else might fit? R1 ? ZX6-R? | ||

The guys at Trojan swapped the front end on their race bike to a dual disk setup. I'm betting they can help you. | ||

Gixxer forks are goods sturdy stock forks, many stunters over here swear by gixxer forks.. not sure if the diameter will fit the buell tripple tree but you can get new ones with the forks (Message edited by ochoa0042 on September 10, 2009) | ||

From what I found in the archives Trojan uses R1 forks. They're the right length and apparently work great but they require custom trees. | ||

I have only had problems with my brakes with stock pads, and I ran Lyndalls on the track by mistake. I would get a new rotor and ALL NEW HARDWARE(springs, washers, bolts and spacers) with ebc pads before you plunk down a grand or more on a front end for a different bike. Trojan is using R1 forks on a Uly that is far from stock. | ||
