Well, I'm not positive, but I've got $5 that says I'm right. The shifter's not that expensive. Hell, I think the one on my Blast was only like $15 - the XB can't be that much more expensive. Definitely cheaper than any billet set you'll find. | ||

The XB9R parts manual I have lists a part number N0600.02A8, TOE PEG, shift lever. The exploded parts diagram shows what appears to be the little rubber nub you are talking about as a part of the N0630.02A8 SHIFT PEDAL ASM., w/ toe peg and bearings. I got part number: N0600.02A8 and it looks like its just the rubber toe peg and any dealership should be able to order it for you. | ||

The part you don't know is that if you order the entire shifter, the new one has a longer peg on it and the rubber part is not a prone to tearing/ripping. | ||

Except, if we're running then we're not riding, and these being bikes it's better when we're riding, but to ride our bikes have to be running, so in that vein you're right, I think. Dyna, Thought the same thing. Might not look as cool though, it doesn't have the little nubs on it. Redneck engineering at it's best. I would rather have the longer peg, but I would be pissed if it ended up being the same one I have now. My stupid rubber "nub" is ripping off also. I was going to just replace the rubber "nub", but if I can get a longer peg by order the whole shifter than I'll do that. Is it the same part number? Thanks.  | ||

If the dealer has some old inventory, you could get the old version. The new part number will be the same with a revision letter added to the end. It should be N0630.02A8A based on the part numbers listed above. I can double check next week, but I believe you will have to get both #23 and #25 shown above. | ||

I thought this longer peg was the secret behind the better shifting. Did they actually make the toe shifter longer for the 04's? If so thats great because it was greatly needed. When I rode a 9S out by Dave I kept hitting my size 13's on the bottom of the primary looking for that damn tiny shifter. | ||
