I have those.
They've been tested on both sides now.
They work well.
I need another set.

Jake, what kind are they, where did you get them, and how do you like the fit? I have a huge dent in my frame and I need to cover it up with those. Looks great by the way!!

Not sure what brand they are, they came with the bike when I bought it. They look like the same type as the air scoop and heel guards, so I assume they are from American sportbike.

They fit perfect. I went to NAPA and bought some 3M automotive "badge" tape. They are stuck on pretty solid without the use of zip ties (like the bike from "itallian" thread)

I like them, adds a little depth to the otherwise dull frame.

You've probably seen the aftermath with a puck installed.
Way back when I bought my bike, pucks hadn't been invented yet.
This is after a pretty bad hit I suffered on HWY60 just before March Badness V.

i have a pair of these frame covers and was worried that if i did go down they wouldnt hold up as well as the pucks would. so i bought some pucks took the frame covers off and cut out a space for the pucks to still have the frame covers and the pucks.

Clyde, don't tell her! I bought my first pair of mesh riding pants today and can't imagine what she would say about a pair of $200 pants. Save up enough to take her out, just in case she finds out.

Roy, don't work like that at this end. I deploy alot. Alot. And uh, she takes care of all of the finances, so trying to slip this past would be difficult to say the least! I'm to wine and dine and see where that gets me. Its not too bad really. She has a 9sx and she is just as pained by the crater in my frame as I am!

Heh...I just put the pucks right on top of the carbon fiber - same as Glitch, the pucks hadn't yet come out when I put the frame covers on, and then they didn't want to come off. ; )

Thankfully I've never tested either and I hope to keep it that way!

I bought them from DaveS back when he was still at Appleton. They are the Trojan Horse ones - and Froggy's right, the exchange rate is indeed a bitch. I had just come home from my stint in Japan working a few months of 60-hour weeks with OT, so I went a little crazy. ; )

Clyde, thanks for your service to our country and congrats on having a woman thats good with holding down the fort till you get back. As for the dent a little Bondo, 99 cent primer and rattle can silver should do the trick. LOL! The dent is just magnified in your mind because it's your bike, on someone else's bike it would be a little ding, no big deal.

yep, that's the stuff! Froggy, i stand corrected

i liked it so much i had to be a copied the idea, and went with some roll-on bedliner (although not as tough)

but isn't impersonation the truest from of flattery?

what's up Jeff?!
