Cant recommend them enough!

While I am sure its not the only amazing tire out there, its what Ill be using for quite some time unless it ends up lasting much less then I imagined!

Cant say anything about wear as I have only put 100 miles on them but I must say its the best 100 miles of riding I have ever done in the twisties!

This bike feels AMAZING.

The OEM Pirelli's felt good but there was a point where they just didnt like to lean much more. This was noted on every corner but mostly on the low speed corners.

Todays riding with the PR2's didnt have this barrier, they fell into every corner, but not in the bad sense, I had total control of the lean angle... After setting my line the bike held the lean better then with the old tires and if I needed to tighten it up there was no problem in doing so.

Considering they are brand new, grip was great, no problems in that aspect (albeit I wasnt pushing super hard but by the end of the night I was cruising as fast as I normally did with OEM tires). I imagine grip will only get better after a couple more hundred miles. Also I was running 35/39 PSI Front/Rear. Going to drop down to 34/37 for next time which obviously means even more grip.

Now I cant personally attest to this but the greatest part about these tires? You get this amazing handling PLUS they have a hard center compound and should last around 10,000 miles!

Anyways this bike handles like what I have always dreamed it should handle like, cant wait to go tear it up!

I had some put on too. I only have a couple hundred miles on em but I like them so far!

I hope they'll be better in the rain than the Corsa III's. Those things were fun at times (sliding around) and scary at other times (sliding around) in the wet.

I was shocked at how much worse the Corsa III's felt than my 10K worn ass Scorpion Sync's in the wet.

If you are coming from Sync's to RP2, the rain performance is almost as good. I stress almost.

As much as I like my set of RP2's I have found them more sensitive to wet grease spots than the stock Syncs.

I just put the PR2s on my bike, too. I only have 100 miles on them cuz my bike broke down after that. The 100 miles on these, compared to the 200 on the stock dunlops is night and day.

I look forward to the twisties in the rain and will comment on that once I have expierienced them

I'm about half way through my set now. I'll second the caution about wet and greasy spots. I've spun mine much easier than I expected on a few occasions.

I still like them a lot. They are wearing great. Coming from the powers it definitely feels like a down grade but its very acceptable all the same.

My only real gripe is the profile of the tire. It's wide on the bottom (probably the key to its longevity) which forces the sides to have a tighter radius. I assume thats what causes the the 'falling in' the OP mentions.

Od54, not sure what your refering to in the profile...

They seem to me like a combination of the Pilot Power (very aggressive pointed tire) and the OEM Pirelli's (totally rounded).

Regardless, I F'ing love the way the bike rides!

I might end up trying them too, I have been happy with every Pirelli I have tried to date so it would be interesting.

It just sucks that they cost so much, but if they are as good as everyone says and they are worth it, then I don't mind the price.

I have over 500 miles on my Pilot Road 2's and I have found them to be a great handling tire, and they still look new.

I have seen a lot of people run a regular pilot power (dont need a 2ct IMHO) with a Road 2 rear and they were happy with it...

The standard road 2 front is stickier in the middle (same as the back tires sides) then the rear tires middle and the sides of the front tire are stickier then anything on the rear...

Just put a set of PR2's on .. only 200 miles but I like'em so far.

One interesting thing .. the injection hairs are still there all around the center of the front tire, even after 200 Highway miles. I'm thinking that is a good sign toward long tire life.

And thanks Gentleman_Jon, got them from ride direct based on an older post of your's.

Now that there scrubbed in I need to go see how the PR2's handle the curves.

The PR2's are by far my favorite tire. They are worth the extra price for sure.

They were the most confidence inspiring of any of the tires I have used, the rubber stuck well, the wet traction was really good, and the profile is great.

I got the second highest mileage out of a set of PR2s. If I had done less slab, they would have lasted longer.

Riding_Tall... I noticed that to!

About 120 miles on mine and they are still there in a lot of places on the front wheel (WOT took them off most of the rear just fine ; )...).

Anyways they feel pretty solid even with only this many miles so after I get them warmed up a bit I am going to see what they can do! They felt super planted the other night and tomorrow I will be riding with slightly lower tire pressure and in the heat...

But yeah, I am REALLY loving these tires.

Its a new bike.

I eaked out 8K from the original Dunlops. (Needed tires at 6K but put another 2K on them while PR2's were on back order last fall.) I just turned over 16K on the bike and the PR2's still look very good. I would expect another 6-8K before needing a new set.

The bike does feel great on these tires, but I have had a couple of serious "pucker" moments when the rear has let go for just a second. Never saw anything on the road when that happened.

I also noticed the injection hairs lasted for a looong time.

I have PR2 on the rear and a pilot power on the front, I agree with the rear letting go on greasy spots and white paint on the road. But the power on front no problem. 7000 Klms now and still looking good.

Still loving them!

Did a 150ish mile ride in the twisties today... tire feels great! Even on a dirty bumpy goat trail they feel great!

Still scrubbing them in some but I am riding as hard now as I normally would and there is actually a particular turn I never felt confident in with the old tires that I went around once today and a couple times when I first got the tire... I am now carrying much more speed through it, which is pretty awesome!

Going riding again Monday, then suspension tuned Wednesday by a local guru, then more riding...

Thinking Monday I might try different roads, perhaps Calaveras, for those that are not in the Bay Area, its one of the more technical (besides Mt Hammy) roads that I know of, its like a goat trail only wider (no double yellow) and smoother with some crazy tight turns.
