First, thank you all for the kind words. It means a lot to all of us who have put so much time into this product making sure it was right before we sold it.
Ted – With the front drive pulley being steel, simply switching to aluminum saves 30% assuming that nothing further was done to reduce weight. With the OEM rear pulley being aluminum already, we had our work cut out for us. The Dark Horse Moto pulley is about ¼ of a pound lighter then OEM. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it is unsprung weight. Combine it with our rear brake caliper bracket, and you save well over a pound. Please PM me regarding the uncoated pulley.

Saint Anthony (Fastxb12r) – Trust me, I understand. Part of the delay in bringing the pulleys to market was trying to find less expensive ways of manufacturing them. The OEM is cast. We don’t have the volume for casting and small runs of intricate machined parts are expensive. If it helps any, I originally hoped to sell them for less than what they ended up costing me. Regarding an uncoated pulley, please PM me.

Totally diggin' the 2 tone look. And for under $500 it is a great offering from Dark Horse Moto. A pulley of lesser quality from PM or RSD goes for twice that in the Drag Specialties catalog. I guess the HD guys have to pay more for their bling!

Keith GREAT JOB MAN!!!!!
But you're killing me. First you come out with the rear caliper deal after I have it, now an aftermarket rear pulley after I already bought an aftermarket one. Damn you man if you only came out with this shit earlier you could have saved me a bunch of cash. 
Can you do me a favor. Let me know what your working on so I can keep my money in this country.

Austin (Penders_xb12r) - The pulley can withstand quite a bit more torque than the engine/transmission can develop. Fatigue governs.

Nope, I won't make it to HC this year. I've been invited to fly to San Diego and ride a friend's bike to Laguna Seca for the MotoGP races! It's gonna be a good time!
