Nobody's mentioned the fact that the headers are attached to a motor that moves front to back, while the cans are solid mounted to the frame. I don't see any flex joints, so I'm betting that the exhaust pipes will crack. When they built the bike for Ghost Rider, they had a problem with the exhaust cracking. |

I agree with Tpoppa. It looks like it would be easy to burn your boots on those pipes. (Message edited by boltrider on May 01, 2009) |

Screw function, that just plain looks cool! I have to agree that it looks to be of high craftmanship. They even put heat guards on the pipes where the heel of your boot might come in contact with it, and welded on mounts for the chin fairing. |

I have to agree that it looks to be of high craftmanship. Sure, if you get past the design flaws and the crooked pipes, the level of craftsmanship is ummm....high? The front of the left pipe is definitely lower than the right. |

Ground Clearance. Until they bring out the Dirt bike I have to make the CityX slug through the mud, muck and sand. |

Maybe the fabled engine heat wasn't enough for him and he really wanted to burn his biscuts. |

How dare someone do something to their bike that they like that I don't! |

The front of the left pipe is definitely lower than the right. Yep, just like that right mirror is higher than the left. Joel9- that's a great-looking XB... very tastefully done. I have always loved the old H-D Racing half black, half orange paint scheme. The painted frame and orange wheel stripes are a nice touch. Would love to see the other side, though. |

Ah ---- Court I like your the other comment better. (from another thread) Let me see. Not sure if this is correct. The effects of drugs and an education system in peril. I think that was it. I`m just not a fan of under seat exhaust. Never have been. Just looks out of place to me. That exhaust belongs on an Enduro. S1Eric |

When Mugbug was serious about running a high pipe, I went down to DHD and took a stack of photos of their race bike. It is the same as Joel posted. Click the photos for full size.

I`m just not a fan of under seat exhaust. Same here, there is some exception where I would tolerate it but only on some bike and even some of them I kept wishing they would come up with a under slung exhaust. |
