I have the buell deluxe. It holds alot. Great for long trips, or if it s the only bag on you bike. | ||

Buell deluxe for about a year, it does hold a lot. Some have reported problems with zipper pulling away from the stitching. I've had no problems with mine. | ||

I use a Buell deluxe also. I wanted a bag I didn't have to unhook just to fill up. A deluxe bag and McCuff filler solved the problem. | ||

I have the standard Buell one and like it. I think it lacks a couple of side pockets that the "Big Boy" has but it has worked fine for me. I use the little "CD/MP3" pocket on the back to carry a baggy with a sponge and paper towels to wash those nasty bugs off my face shield! It will take a spare shield in the main compartment along with rain gear and/or a jacket. The map window seemed silly at first BUT after moving to a new state I slipped a map in there and it works great. What I don't like is the straps/clips stay on the bike all the time and beat on the air box cover if you leave the bag off. AND it's NOT water proof...but does come with a "Shower Cap" cover that takes up most of the room if you take it along.  But it's not bad over all. Remember it you go looking aftermarket to find a strap mount. Most are magnetic stick on jobs...not so hot with a plastic "Tank"!  | ||

is the main compartment on the deluxe any bigger than the standard, or does it just have extra side pockets? | ||

I'm not sure if mine is "deluxe" or not, it's rather old circa '03 I'd guess, but has the side/rear pockets. I love the convenience of it. I hated the rear strap coming loose till I adjusted it and "welded" the strap together. I'm not sure why that strap is adjustable anyway. And the clips flopping around when the bag isn't there is going to be a serious issue this year w/ the new paint job...I've got a solution to that dilemma but have yet to put it into action. | ||

I've got the Buell Deluxe. Easy on / easy off. As was stated above though the clips will mess up the plastics if left bolted on. I solved that by putting a bit of silicone caulk on the back side of the clip. I set it to dry caulk down on waxed paper to make it nice and smooth too. Works great now with no marring of the air box. | ||

I have the standard bag, tuck the rear clip under the seat and put some tiny circular stick on tabs (much like the ones for chair legs) under the front clips...no damage so far. This bag and a cargo net on the tail and I'm set for a long weekend. | ||

No tank bag here... But Kriega us-10 tail bag:  Gonna get the 20 liter version, too, 10 liters doesn't hold that much... | ||

The cheapest solution I found was a $10 mini backpack used as a tail bag. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/381129.html?1217463387 I can fit enough stuff for an overnight stay in it, including a pair of jeans, couple of t-shirts, ect and it's perfect for everyday random stuff. | ||

I've also got the Rapid Transit Bradley Strap Mount Tank Bag. I like it alot. Works great for holding a few bottled waters, camera, wallet, cell phone, and some snack food. Also nice having the map pocket. I tend to get lost  | ||

I use the Cortech Super mini. It's small...but thats how I like it. I dont carry alot of stuff with me and I don't do long trips. So it's perfect. | ||

Samppa, how did you get your Kriega to work? I have a XB9R, got a US-10, and yesterday I tried to put it on before a ride down to Miami. Maybe I stuffed it too full, but it just wouldn't strap down tight. I gave up and used my messenger bag instead. I was going to put the Kriega on eBay, but I would rather use it. Any tips on getting it to work? Dave | ||

I use the Kriega 'US-10' on the tail and a Wolfman large 'Expedition' on the tank. Both of thesse bags are waterproof and top shelf as far as quality is concerned. The Wolfman is even made right here in the good ol' US of A. | ||

I've got the original Buell XB tank bag. Holds a ton, quick to get on and off...pricier than an aftermarket one, but they can be kind of a pain to make work with a Buell. It's gotten a lot of use over most of seven years and is still in great shape. | ||
