The best comment I ever got didn't even involve someone saying anything. I was going down the street when a kid on a UMJ started following me. I could see him trying to find my muffler. My fiance was behind him, and she said she laughed the whole way. He kept leaning over to look under my bike's tail ('cause that's were you put a muffler, right?) shaking his head and acting completely confused.  | ||

My neighbor and I were out for a ride and decided to trade bikes (for the first time) for a few miles. He's used to his tweaked Gixxer 600 and it's 10-13k RPM powerband, and didn't realize how serious I was about the lower RPM torque on a Buell. After a few miles of getting used to it, he grabbed a fist full of throttle after a slow turn, and started lifting the front wheel ... he came to a stop at the next light and traded back. All he said was "I gotta stay away from your bike Bro, too much fun and I'll want to trade mine in. Holy $h!+ !" He had the same grin we all recognize, and eyes the size of Scooter Pies. | ||

lol @ "Your gas tank is empty." pretty sure that's the best one on the list so far! i ride with some pretty cool and ope minded people- some harley riders, some ride tubers, some ride buells, some ride I4s, some ducs and triumphs. i cant recall any particularly good comments, but it never fails that in a crowd of ducs, triumphs, harleys and I4s that the buells get ALL of the crowds and attention! pisses off the I4 guys, REALLY pisses off the duc riders that paid $25,000 for their ride!  | ||

Pulled up to a bridge toll booth on the east side of Baltimore to pay and the guy in the booth asks: "Is that a Ducati?" Now, I'm on my back/gold 05 XB12r with full race kit and exhaust. I'm wearing a Buell full helmet. I point to the Buell/American motorcycles logo on the airbox cover. I told the guy: "No, its an American bike made here in the US by Buell and Harley. He shakes his head confused and says it looks like a Duc. I say thanks and rattle the glass in his booth rocketing away. Gotta laugh! | ||

At a Honda dealership, (after looking at my 12R for a bit)"thats not a 600 is it?". Me, "nope, 1203". His jaw dropped and I rode away. While I was eating at a cafe, dude stopped dead next to my bike and looked at my ZTL for 10 whole minutes, cocking his head like a retriever and looking befuzzled. Eventually scratched his head and walked away. Me at a stop light, "Where did you go?". Buddy of mine, "I'm not going into tunnels behind you anymore..." (Thanks Odie!) Best one though was when I came out of the Hotel at Paradise on Mt. Rainier in WA and some tourists where posing and taking pictures with my bike. I just smiled and waited for them to finish and then hopped on my bike and headed back down the mountain.  -d | ||

"you got a headlight out" Once I was asked what size the engine was, I told him 984 his eyes got huge and jaw dropped a little. "that's just badass" I get the headlight one the most. jerseyguy, that's just awesome! | ||

Got a comment last night that made my night. I was riding through a residential, lid less, I pull up to a stop sign next to a drainage pits where the youngins ride and jump there bicycles. One of the youngest (maybe 6 yrs old) is the first to hear me approaching, he looks up, his eyes got all big, and all I could hear was this kid screaming BUELL BUELL BUELL!!!. Hell I get asked what it is at least once a week during the summer by other riders, and here a lil tyke new exactly what I was on based on the sound, smart lil bastad he was. | ||

pulling into the local industrial park one night where everyone stunts/drag races(HAHAHAHA aka talks shit and maybe pops one wheelie and race a busa or 2), turn into the parking lot and hear a guy "WTF??? is that a V8???" the guy next to him(my buddy phil) says "yup, never heard of it?" "nah! since when?" comes over to me after parking "Why the f*ck are they puttin v8's in sportbikes now???" "ha bro...thats a vtwin" "THERES NO GodD*mn WAY!!!" "why the hell is there a dipstick on your swingarm?" "i was lookin for the F*ckin OCC bike!" Harley guys at a stop light-"is that thing comfortable?" me-"yup more comfy than my sportster" go to my friend pete's dad's house(BEST HARLEY MECHANIC EVER!!!! Jammer Cycles in Lumberton, MS check him out for custom bikes, choppers mostly), pete is on a katana, my cousin charlie is on a R6, and i'm on my 12R and Mr Carl walks out and says "all those damn bikes and aint but one of em worth a shit!" old harley guy-"man that thing is fine!" me-"its for sale...want it?" old guy-"hell naw! i'd get in too much trouble" my friend clay on his GSX-R1000-"what??? i cant hear a damn thing over that g*dd*mn IMPORT!" | ||
