I'm looking to purchase a right side scoop. I've seen the R. Crins scoop and wasn't pleased with the quality. It seemed real thin. Especially at the rear mounting tab. I've seen one other scoop and it was real nice. The fiberglass was nice and thick. I just have no idea who made it. The only other two manufacturers I know of are American Sport Bike and Trojan. So it had to be one of them. Can anyone chime in on the quality of either the American Sport Bike piece or the Trojan piece if you have one?

I bought 2 from R. Crins and couldn't be happier with them. It fits very well and matches the color/texture of the factory left side scoop very well. It is thin but I believe it to be pretty durable/strong. I have only had them on the bikes (06 XB12SS and 04 XB12S) since late December but would recommend them. Roberto was great to deal with and shipped the parts very quickly.

I have had the Trojan low profile intakes, right and left for several years.

They are total chick magnets, increase top speed by .04 knots and reduce oil temp and backaches by a ton.

Nice looking too.

I painted mine to match my frame with Buell Graphite paint, and left the aluminum grills,( which I glued in with a product called Goop), in bare aluminum.

Always a pleasure doing business with Matt.

I have had a Trojan on my 03 Bolt since 04 and it has served me well. It is fibreglass and has even been down a couple of times. They were a lot cheaper back then as well, same as those wave rotors for the front.

Would any one happen to have pics of either the American Sport Bike rss or Trojan rss. Especially ones looking into the scoop from the front.

Thanks

Just bought my carbon fiber RSS from Al and the folks at American Sport Bike. I am quite happy with the quality of the scoop. Being of the not-too-handy type when it comes to installing parts, there are one or two things I may have done differently concerning install. However, I had it installed in less than 30 minutes. And if I'm happy with the scoop itself, I can't say enough about the customer service. I live near Barstow, CA, and literally had the parts I ordered (Aprilia mirrors, etc.) in my hot little hands little over 24 hours after I got up from computer ordering them. Now *that* is service.
