I just took "risked" it again and purchased a "new" HJC cl-15 for $45 shipped from Ebay.
I get the same anxious feeling between checkout and receipt. I dont want to have to hear "I told you so" from my wife the first time I get screwed over.

Ive been really happy with my old HJC.

PayPal isn't your pal, I bought a tachometer with PayPal and it wasn't the correct/as advertised item. The seller even admitted he scammed me in e-mails and PayPal wouldn't refund my funds or take any action against the "thief", even with him admitting his scam in writing.

"No more used helmets."

A wiser man, and a more sanitary one to boot.

Good protective gear ain't necessarily cheap, and almost certainly ain't pre-owned.

Here is the easiest thing to do when you order stuff as I do all the time and have never had a problem of anykind, pay by c o d only you can check your stuff when it arrives if it is not satisfactory they get no money and are out the cost of shipping not you. Any respectable company will do c o d, if they dot it is not hard to find one that will an most will price match. This way you always get what you want or you don't pay

PayPal's worst than Ebay. In my experience, at least Ebay recognized the seller's scam and kicked the seller off Ebay. PayPal did not even communicate with Ebay regarding the seller's scam. The seller just lied and said the merchandize was not returned. PayPal merely took the seller's word for it even though the seller was kicked off Ebay for scamming. PayPal just ignored everything I submitted.
I simply avoid PayPal, and Ebay. Go Craigslist.

I have used Pay pal and ebay several times and have no problems. I read a lot of the sells feedback, both positive and negative before biding. It's a great tool to gage whether or not I want to do business with that person(seller)

Just wanted to let everyone know I got my money back. Lost 8 bucks on shipping, but better than 108! I think the fact of me calling paypal a few times and having evidence such as a confirmation number to his residential address (he tried to say it was his work addy) helped a great deal. I guess they could tell he was lying out his a**! I guess it does pay off to be honest!

FYI,
eBay and Paypal are in bed together.

I got a notification about 2-3 years ago that PayPal was purchased by ebay.

I also have had very good luck with PayPal and scams. I sold a high dollar item on ebay unfortunately to someone way way down south. After two weeks and no payments, but plenty of emails I decide to do a second chance on ebay. It sells. The next day the original winner of the item finally sends me all $$$ in an "escrow account transaction" pending delivery of the item to him. I called paypal and told them the situation and how I already sold the item on a second chance offer to another bidder. They refunded the original winner his $$$ from my account and canceled the transaction.

Boy was he all pissy about it, but PayPal was fantastic.

Use your CC for payment on paypal. Most CC's offer fraud protection, and wont take any isht from paypal.
