I am assuming you have never been on a track. Get as much track time as possible. The best track time is the free kind so get greedy. I don't know how old you are but try to go in there with an open mind and learn as much as you can. Check your brovado at the door it will bennefit you. IMO | ||

This Superbike School is one of the top schools in the industry. HIGHLY recommended. You WILL become a faster AND safer rider - no questions. What makes Code unique is their "staged" progression and really useful riding tools. Even those who have done "track days" find GREAT value in these. I don't consider the cost an expense, but rather, an INVESTMENT. If you have the cash DO IT! Warning -- you may become addicted to track days and find that you will purchase a 10-day riding block in but a few years and plan your vacations around them. Yes, it's that good... Have a great time and let us know how it went! | ||

i wanna learn to ride my buell safely and im comeing from a suzuki boulevard BIG difference . so for a bigginer would u recommend the one level one or the very expensive 2 day package , and how can i get free time on track or do u know a way i can learn cheaper , talk to me baby talk to me | ||

Welcome Pete, I had a Suzuki Marauder at one time. It was a fun bike....but the Buell is funner!!!! I've been wanting to do one of these classes and in looking at the schedule, Miller is closer to my home. Hummm, now to talk the hubby into it. Take advantage of any track time you can get. It can definitely become addictive. I've got about 8 days of track under by butt and am planning more come spring. It is, IMHO, one of the best ways to learn in a safe environment. Have fun | ||

Pete, You are FAR better off to learn in a structured track environment than you will on your own in the canyons or just doing track days. There are other local track day operations that offer instructing - Track Experience and Fast Track Riders but NEITHER of them offer quite the intensely focused training that Code offers. You can STILL get excellent instruction as compared to some of the lower-grade track day operators (the cheaper guys) There are many other local track day operators but they really only make track time available and don't really filter out the squids. They're not worth mentioning. Can't give you an answer about the two day except to say that IF you can afford it, it WILL BE worth your while. | ||

I was a fan of Reg Pridmore's C.L.A.S.S. until the first time I took Keith Code's Superbike School. After that, I was hooked. By comparison, Pridmore's course was just an overpriced track day. It's good, but you'll get a LOT more out of Keith's structured, step-by-step learning process. | ||

My son took the two day camp and told me that he should have saved some bucks and gone with the staged program. I am taking the school in May 11-12 at NJMP Thunderbolt on the east coast and took his advice using the two days of stages for 900 bucks using my 'Bolt rather than the two day camp for 2250... 1320 bucks buys a lot of track days | ||

If it wasn't close enough to truck in my Buell, I might have had to consider using their bike, does command more dollars.. But I will be on my XBR... just the way I like it! | ||

I ride my own bike. Why do I want to learn how to ride a Ninja 600?? I also ride to the hotel, the track, and then back home. I don't believe in putting a perfectly running motorcycle on a trailer. | ||

For the first time I'd suggest the one day school -- your brain gets spent with all those $1 bills you're using (those who know Code will understand that  ). Save the multi-day for another time -- also most crashes happen on day two of an event after 3:00 pm... I used to ride my bike to the hotel and track day, but recently I've gone to putting my bike in my pickup and I find it is FAR better. No worries about proper packing, no hotel bills, no worries about preparing the bike at the track, no worries about the "what if" scenario's, etc. You can just focus on riding -- and that's where you're brain should be... Either way, everyone needs to make it a point to attend a structured class day. You may think that you need a more powerful bike, better tires, a new muffler, etc to make your bike faster, but you quickly learn that the bike is not the limitation, but your brain. And if you have any ego, be prepared to get rid of it as a chick on an EX250 passes you on the outside while you're worried about if the tires can provide enough traction... |
