i'm very proud, my XB12Scg, better known as Ghost Ride, got 1st place at the toy run bike show this past sunday! it was my first show after i spent 2 years in this project. i also got 2nd place with my S1, a little jewel i honestly love so much! i opened this thread here also to share with you guys of the XB board my happiness! i'm almost ready for the "Rat's Hole" in Daytona '09, where i will go again with my 2 bikes. the S1 is ready, the XB still miss a couple of things, already acquired and apart to be chromed. here are few shots, hope you like them... this one got best in show, the classic example how to waste $200.000!!!!

the stickers on the headlights because every bike is got to be identified, so on the stickers there's a number to recognize the bike and the owner. the sir lancilot or however it's correct to say (best in show bike here), it's a ridiculous bike. the guy who built it told me he was asking $250.000, he said he got an offer for 220.000, i told him right away: SELL IT!!!!! who's the mad whose gonna pay so much money for a crazy uncomfortable, unrideable bike???? beside that, it has the suicide shifter, semi-automatic clutch and a riding position that should take you straight to the hospital after 10 minutes on the bike!!! i'm sorry but i can't find nothing interesting on that bike. there was another chopper who got best chopper in show, a yellow bike, that was absolutely gorgeous, from the paint job to the motor, a piece of art! PS: Dana, thank you so much, i'm sure you can understand me. i hope i can meet you next march in Daytona, or most likely at homecoming, hopefully.... I can't even imagine how much money you've got in that XB... very original! Your S1 is freakin' GORGEOUS. Very tastefully done. I'd be afraid to sit on the "best of show"... seems like every inch of it would draw blood if you touched it. I don't think my normal armor would be enough protection! ~SM |

SM, at this point i don't believe it exists an XB like that one in the US and in the world, i think just the 2 XB made from Hillbilly motors (the Hellbender and the XBRR Chronos made from Jens for the Buell's 25th anniversary) can be compared to my Ghost Ride. considering i still have all new radial front brake and clutch master cylinders, Arlen Ness buttons and the K&P oil filter to put on, for Daytona that bike will be absolutely the most unique XB! it's a shame you guys can't catch in picture so many little details of that bike, but trust me, every inch is custom made! nothing was left undone! i'm lucky because i have a lot of contacts in Italy with some Buell aftermarket parts vendors, who can buy everything from Germany, so i have many parts on that bike which are impossible to find here in the US! and believe it or not, there are many more special parts available for our american bikes there in europe than here! money on that bike? i don't even wanna think about it anymore, but a lot, too much, something i got crazy and i should have stopped much earlier! but now i'm very happy of my creatures and i must say my S1, with much less money invested, became a very nice bike also... Hi, congrats and respect for your 1st place! Thats the real Miami style! I would stretch the polished swingarm and/or shorten the tail. Great bike. Funny, there is one item on your bike what comes with my newest project in 3 weeks, there are some more new parts coming with that bike... Good luck for Daytona. Jens |
