Precision Engineering It's awesome, looks great, feels better than stock (longer peg) and very well made. I even dropped my bike after I put these on and it bent the shifter back a little, but didn't break and I was able to bend it back out. |

147db- I just spent some time clicking through your site. You have some bad ass bikes! I like the site- tons of great pics and great links for some great mods! |

It's a matched set, the shifter looks exactly the same. I just don't have a good pic of it handy.

Gotcha, thanks Who makes it, and does it change geometry and such? Are there benefits to it beyond the looks? |

Looks better, more rigid and lighter than stock. I got them from American Sport Bike for 150 and had them powdercoated after I got them. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9076.html |

I like that spring loaded one, that should keep it from breaking in a fall or at least be better than a fixed shifter arm. I need an aftermarket shifter! I have no more money! |

Damnut: first pic has lowered pegs, second pic are standard. How is that brake pedal with the lowered peg. I have a 9R with lowered pegs and can't lower the stock pedal low enough to use. Does yours go lower than stock pedals? |

Both pics are with the lowered pegs. One of my first mods to the bike. I have plenty of adjustment, don't really know if it is lower than stock though. You could call Al and ask him, he'd probably know. I didn't have a problem with the stock pedal and the S pegs when I had that combo. So you're saying that you have it all the way adjusted and you still can't get your foot on the pedal? That doesn't seem right to me for some reason, don't know what that could be though. If you want more pics of my setup let me know. |

Don't want to take the thread off topic. I was able to lower the shift pedal (ha, on topic) but could only lower the brake until the threaded shaft hit the pedal (then back off a bit). |

Hey Treadmarks. In the second pic you posted above (shifter side). What is the red box stuck to the bottom of your swingarm? |

Im betting a magnet Tattoo to help trigger stoplights. |

I like the spring loaded one posted above. Although I just ordered a new stocker to replace my broken one. Was trying to keep the rebuild on the cheap. |

lol @ magnet. The theory behind those is sound- stoplights are triggered by a "disturbance" in the magnetic field created by the under-pavement sensor. That's why a car makes it switch easier than a bike- much more metal to disturb the magnetic field. A magnet would have to be MIGHTY strong to create a significant enough disturbance to make a difference! |

I always thought they were weighted sensors? |

Ive heard from many people that they do actually help trigger the sensors. Im planning on getting one on my bike. Magnets can be had for rather cheap, so why not try it? |

A magnet would have to be MIGHTY strong to create a significant enough disturbance to make a difference! They're inductance loops. You can induce a current by introducing a changing magnetic field (passing a magnet over it) or by alternating current over it (ie, revving your engine like an .) |

147db - I checked out your website for info on your shifter. You say it is a prototype? How did you get that connection? How much did it cost you? |

Jandj, I bought it through the italian Touratech distributor 1 year ago after many weeks of calls. They have given to me the prototype used for the catalogues, the Uly's shifter was not yet in production. I don't know if in the meantime it's available, try to see in the TT website. |

That's odd. TouraTech has t listed in some of their documentation, and not in others. I'll have to try to get a hold of someone there and learn more about it. Do you like it? |
