I am an industrial designer, I went to one of the top automotive design schools in the world! CCS, Detroit, MI. I am sitting among my co-designers in an industrial design firm. We all agree that whoever made this list should not be rating anything on design. Granted some of the bikes should be on there, but there is no way in hell that the Buell should be! The BSA Rocket 3 and the Cb400F also should not be on that list either. This guy needs to step out of 1970's design and GET WITH THE TIMES!!! | ||

I hope that the author reads this thread someday. THE ONLY THING OUT THERE THAT IS UGLIER THAN THE WORLD'S UGLIEST MOTORCYCLE IS HIS WIFE!!! I didn't care for the Honda Rune that much, but the rest of the bikes look alright, each and every one of them in a league of it's own, I'd twist the throttle on every one of them. | ||

About the only one I can totally agree with the the KTM. Now I have a KTM950R Super Enduro and some would say it is ugly but that 690 is an abomination in my book. The rest I think that guy just wanted to push some buttons so he took some shots. Best way to get your webpage read I guess? | ||

The KTM is only bike I would consider "ugly" on that list. Many, including the Buell, the BSA and Rune (not that'd I' buy one, mind you) would be considered beautiful. This guy is on crack. (Message edited by xl1200r on September 08, 2008) | ||

Oh, yeah--that KTM 690 is fuuuuuuugly. Then again, I can't think of any banana-seated enduro that I'd consider easy on the eyes. Hopefully, the beauty is in the performance. | ||

Oh, yeah--that KTM 690 is fuuuuuuugly. Unless of course you're using it for what it's meant for, like riding in the Dakar Rally. Then, it's a thing of beauty. One thing about bikes that make them far different than cars. There ain't a lot of room to make 'em pretty if you still want them to function the way we like them to function. Just goes to show, what I think is nice looking someone else will say stinks. Go to any bike night, ugly bikes everywhere. If everyone agreed what a nice bike was, we'd all be riding the same one, we sure as hell wouldn't be modding them in any way. | ||

Your absolutely right. But that fender on that KTM is not working aesthetically. Functional yes, aesthetically no. Other than the fender and maybe the exhaust, I think it's a pretty bad a$$ bike. | ||

I'm a firm believer in function over form, so I have no doubt that the KTM is beautiful for those who use it as intended. But if we're just talking superficial aesthetics, that thing is brutally unattractive. The Multistrada is no swimsuit model, either. I actually think several of the other bikes on the list are fairly handsome, so clearly the guy who assembled the list is an idiot.  | ||

I think its all about your personal tastes...each one of them is unique, personally the only one on there that wasnt my cup of tea was the ktm, but thats just me, just like that guy obviously didnt like a lightning, which i think is a awesome bike, cuz its so unique... | ||

The Top Ten Ugliest Bikes of All Time should include the KTM, the Rune (I call it the Ruined), the B-King, and the 1125R/1125CR. Those five are ugly enough to equal ten bikes. As far as the Lightning... the guy obviously has no clue. | ||

Honda CB400F. Nondescript tank, leg perforating rivets on the seat, and I'm sure a good welder can straighten those exhaust pipes right out. Ya think he has a clue the 400 is collected because of those features? | ||
