Is there any good/quick way to lock your helmet to your XB so you dont have to take it in places with you?

There is a helmet lock wire in your toolbox and the manual tells you how to lock it in other than that I can tell ya sorry

Actually, manual doesn't tell you how to lock it in.

...have I mentioned how glad I am to have a helmet lock and lockable topcase on my Uly?

The '03 Firebolt didn't even come with that little cable - there's no way to lock it to the bike that I've figured out that doesn't involve changing or adding something. >.<

made out of a helmet guardian.

Cut at the red line.
Bend 90 deg at the yellow line.
drill hole (green dot) between yellow and red line for passenger peg bolts.

I bought an HD universal one and mounted it on the left rear passenger peg bar. Works pretty good.

I use this on my 9R. It works great, and you can't tell that it is there unless there is helmet hanging off it.

The same thing that be accomplished with a small 'L' bracket as well, but these look so good, and are so cheap, I couldn't pass them up. The guy posts them every week or so.

Badlionsfan - that's a great tip. I use the helmet guardian myself - it's wider than my plate so I was going to cut and shorten it, but I think I'll just do this instead!

The seat on my "Ss" does not come off or go back on real easy so the Buell system is not real doable on a regular basis.

I having been using the helmet lock sold by "Kuraykyn" that bolts to your license plate, easy to install and it works well.

Are they worth the $100 they want for a matching pair? It looks like a cool setup, has the appearance of the sport bike bar ends. Do they remain tightly installed when there is no helmet (ie: no rattling around?)?

I purchased the single lock with matching dummy end for other side at $75 + shipping. Both ends hold tight and there is no rattling on lock side as it has a lock stop on shaft that has no bearing on whether helmet is in place or not. D ring goes on shaft between handlebar and lock head. When I bought them they served 2 1/2 purposes for me. To lock my helmet, To plug up open bar ends after I removed my bar end mirrors for Tuono mirrors and less importantly I like the look of bar ends. Any of the choices above are as good as any other as far as helmet security as all are limited by the helmet strap, It all comes down to personal preference and convenience.

I use a pistol lock that I picked up for free at my local law enforcement agency. Hook it through a hole in the passenger peg and the chin of my helmet. Works like a champ.
