Its a close call between the S1 and the M2. I think I have to give it to the M2, just because the glory of a motorcycle is to be ridden, and between the affordable price and comfortable setup, the M2 screams to be ridden. The S1 screams to be ridden, for about half an hour, then it screams to be parked  | ||

The S1 is by far my favorite tuber, and probably my favorite Buell. To me the S1 is the essence of motorcycling...an engine with a seat (barely)  | ||

Court and Dave's new book, " 25 years of Buell" gives a thorough explanation of the development of the tube frame Buells, which can be a bit confusing for those of us who are more familiar with the XB models. Having read the book, and having had the pleasure of seeing many fine tubers at Homecoming, I changed my favorite from X1 to S1. A bit more of a "bad boy" in these old eyes.  | ||

Check out this month's Fuell - it has a pictorial history of the bikes. Nice pics above, by the way (although I have yet to understand the mutant craze...maybe it's just me though). |
