Lately I've been hearing all sorts of noises from my 12S, and I have no idea if its just the bike breaking in or just breaking. I just crossed 2200 miles.

The first noise I started hearing, which I posted, was the butterfly valve in the exhaust fluttering.

Today's noise is engine ticking, sounds like a bunch of chatter, it started about 2 hours ago. It would happen at idle and all through the RPMs.

For the last week the bike has been running not horribly, but also not good, its been running very rich, my last tank I got 31 mpg, I usually get 38 mpg.

Saturday I'm taking the bike in, does anybody know this ticking noise, or know where its coming from so I can give the tech some ideas on Sat. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

They make alot of noise but make sure your primary chain is tight that will make a crap load of noise sounds like a couple marbles in the works when its to slack

They kinda sound like that...

Brumbear is straight on though. You'll need to check the primary chain about every 1K miles for the first 5-8K. They wear in quite a bit.

Also... If you haven't changed the oil since new do it now.
