With all the topics about problems and concerns with the Buell on here I thought I needed to post some good news.

After getting some new tires and the suspension set up I can't stay off the thing. I have said it before and I need to say it again. These bikes are freaking awesome. Every expectation I had has been meet and then some.

Please post some good thoughts of your baby!!

There is no other bike that I would rail through the twisties hard, grind through dirty mountain roads, splash puddles with, creek cross, camp, long distance ride or even cafe crawl with.
Now if I could just get more time off from work to get that kind of riding done on a more regular basis.....
Thanks Buell & E. Troy for giving me the bike you never intended to build. Pic on profile.

Oh, and the Uly is THE MOST VERSATILE BIKE EVER! I have never owned a bike I could ride dirt, pull out on the street and drag a knee, then head to the local track and waste some 600's. I can put on the bags and tour or commute too!

As much as I love my bike, I actually love it even more when she has problems.

I know that probably sounds weird but here's why..

In the past, whenever my Honda or Kawi had problems I always had to take it to shop.
So far I have been able to find and solve all problems on the Buell all by myself.

I have never been so intimate with a bike before. I love it. This bike gives me confidence as a rider and as a problem solver/wrench turner.

And the very best thing of all is the fact that my Buell is the first bike I've ever owned (all the way back to '85) that has never left me stranded anywhere.

Thank you Erik Buell and staff,

Your bikes embody the spirit of sportbikes and remind me of the original standard bikes of the late 70's / early 80's. These bikes are meant to be ridden hard on the weekend and still get me to work on Monday. I wish all my bikes were as well built, easy to work on, and on the cutting edge of engineering. What a bike!

Being new to bikes, when I had made up my mind to purchase a new XB12Ss I had quite a few people question my sanity. Not about the style of bike, but the 'Brand'. Buell ? they said, are they still in business?I had the choice of almost "$" any bike I wanted. But after shopping all brands (with the wife!), we chose the Buell for many reasons, mostly build quality, size & the unique technologies employed in its design.WE have NOT regretted buying the Buell for any reason. A little over 13,000 miles & zero issues. We both look forward to weekends so we can ask, where are we going today? I take it to work every day & look forward to many more Smiles. Thanks Erik.

Love spending time with Fenris -- though he does scare the kids and deafen the elderly. Nobody's perfect though. He is currently taking up my parent's whole garage -- bad dog, no apocalypse for you.

I always truly appreciate my 12S even more after replacing the tires. You forget just how well they handle as that deteriorates with tires well past their usable life span.

I love my Buell. I've had 600 trouble free miles so far. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!!!! The worst thing about my Buell: I've only railed the twisties once in the last month. F that.

+1 on the Love train! I was on the waiting list to get mine, not knowing exactly what I was getting. I've had the chance to ride the wife's S a few times since, and it's just not my 'bolt'. I love these machines!!

I love my bikeS. ; )

The little Blast with a measly 10K on it...but 5 riders, 7 years, and god only knows how many accidents and I still love that little thumper to death.

The XB9R, what can I say. When I saw a preproduction picture of one I suffered from lust at first sight, and 6 years+ later it's my daily driver, thanks to a Ventura rack and willingness to brave the elements. I love that no one knows what the hell it is, I love the way it looks and handles, I love 50+ MPG.

I've not spent significant time in the saddle of anything else, but I've ridden modern literbikes, older 600s, and a smattering of Ducs and Triumphs and I can happily and proudly say my next bike will be yet another Buell.

I have 2 bikes.

The first one is - http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/TerribleT im68/100_0641.jpg

The second one is - http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/TerribleT im68/100_2009.jpg

Depends on my mood as to which one I get on in the morning. But when I want to go fast, attack corners and really ride aggressive (or maybe irritate some of the Harley gang), the Buell fills the bill way beyond my riding abilities. I wouldn't trade it for any other sport bike.
