Wow, shirts are flying all around in here. Now if I can get through the next 2 nights of work I will be home free. Need to make up a few pitchers of koolaid for work now. I wish I had a couple wallet size photos of a white XB9R, then I'd never get anything done.

Eh, you don't scare me. Old age and treachery may beat youth and beauty, but I traded my beauty for treachery long ago, and youth and treachery has the endurance to can you old farts! ;)

I never hold out, well we are talking about a famous Waterloo Buell T-shirt here.
Darthane, I am the guy who at 7 years old, rammed my neighbor off a 6' drive way with my Big Wheel so I could win the Neighborhood 500. I'm not sure if he ever forgave me, but I still have the picture of the cutest girl in the neighborhood giving me the victory kiss

You mean you can remember being 21??? For some reason I don't remember half of what I did when I was 21. And no it was not altheimer's or old timers (I'll just take that card out of your hands now) It was due too many during my years at UofI.

And it seem's I'm the one that started all the Wisconsin people going to Waterloo

Actually it wasn't you Dana, it was Dave talking to me at Prairie Du Chien when Char and I rode out there for the Multi BRAG group ride, way before I started talking to you !!

Just took me that long to make up my mind to do it !!! I told him way back then I wanted to do it next spring, but decided I couldn't wait that long !!

Hell I have been talking up Dave & waterloo for the last year. Stated way back then, that my next bike would be coming from him.

Im sure the only reason for Dave selling the bikes to locals tho, is that Ukes or whomever simply cant get the bike they want asap....LOL:D

Either that or they want to seriously lowball you on the trade in amount.

Now, now boys and girls, it doesn't matter who started it.

I have known Dyna, in person the longest of you three. I met him at the Meet in the Middle a year ago last April.
I have actually known Bomber the longest. I met him in 2000.

Well I had it home for less than 20 minutes and I already eliminated those silly little pop rivets, got rid of all the "Warning you might be an idiot" stickers and ditched the Xmas tree of reflectors on the tail. Then I had to wash it from it's trip home. Now I know I haven't been on my old bike for over a month now, but this new one seems like it has much more power. All in all I am just one happy little camper again.
I do want to say thank you and let everyone who took time to offer kind words and support know that I can not say thank you enough.

Ben,

What pop rivets are you referring to? Newer is always faster. Just like when you got new sneakers when you were a kid.

I am 135 miles from finishing break in on mine, and it has not been easy. I have only washed it twice, waxed and glazed.

It is more different from my M2 that I realized, and now the M2 feels like a big bike. It is wierd because I was so comfortable and confident.

Enjoy your 2nd XB.

Leeaw, I replaced the ones on the point cover. The ones on the chin spoiler don't bother me so much. Now if I can just get some time to ride. Responsibility is such a big responsibility, I've been waiting for someone to walk by my house so that I can offer them $50 to watch my kids for the day.

The only failure I've had on my XB9S is the rivets on the points cover! 15 cents worth of parts and back in business.

Oh, I plan on getting a deer this year, just doing it the conventional way this time. I will shoot it, stab it, choke it, kick it, beat it with a bat, then go get my Bronco and drive over it a couple of times, and then I will find that dog in the neighborhood that humps everything and let it loose on it.
Ben
P.S. You don't think I have any issues, do you?

Court, I'm not sure that if I get another deer this year, there wont be much left to tag. I'm thinking about borrowing my buddies .50 sniper rifle and clearing a path through MO. It's amazing how many deer you can see 2-3 miles out. And we zeroed it on a hog corpse and the wounds it inflicts are HUGE. Not to mention what it does to a 30lbs propane tank. I guess if I can attach the tags to little fluffs of hair I will.

Ben
P.S. I am really a nice guy, just don't jump out in front of my motorcycle, cause I turn mafia real quick.(you know kill them and their whole family type of thing) Too bad I am only joking about this stuff.

Ben:

Just me thinking out loud, but I'd go for the deer. The last propane tank I dressed and put on a spit was very tough and chewy. In fact, I recall a very metallic taste.

Ben, you are our hunter of hunters!

Keith,
Japan has to be one of the more totally enthusiastic Buell places in the world. If he links up with some of the local Buell owners/riders/customizers over there who knows what sort of stuff he'll be doing when he comes back. Shoot, he might even open up his own customization shop and give them Orange County dudes a run for their recognition monies. ;)
