After they talk you into buying the greatest product money can buy, they use scare tactics like, its going to break down and cost you a small fortune to repair, to sell you an extended warranty @ %5-%10 of the original cost.

If you ever let anybody ever talk you into something you truely don't want. Than your mind is mush and the lobotomy was a success.
All we sales folks do is help lead you there. I say this because if you really don't want something you wont buy it.
Unless of course you run into one of those no talent salesman, altho they have learned much about mind control, and they put the hex on you and you buy a product you truely don't want.
Good god except responsibilty for you own decisions in this world. It ain't that hard. sya it with me....I have a brain and I will use it to the best of my abilities.

Just a lokk into the brain of a big fat lumux that understands most things in my world that go right and wrong are my fault.

One other very important thing to remember is that it takes all kinds of people to make this world work.

As for salesman of any kind,

Unless your passionate and knowledgeable about the product your pushing I really do not want to deal with you.

Sales people like Bubba, Dave and a few others would be a pleasure to deal with. Mostly because they have a valid interest in what they are selling.

I love my job - where else could I work for about 3-4 hrs a day, take time off whenever I feel like, and still be paid a very good living to support a wife and brilliant kids that support my habits. I used to investigate insurance claims and you want talk about a occupation in doom and gloom, I went into the Commercial Sales end to meet new people and to help them and once I decided to go down that path I made damm well sure I became an educated professional in my field and knew the products I was pushing. If there is something I do not know I don't bullshit my way through it I find the right answers. Nothing worse than a bullshitter.

Nothing worse than an ignorant salesperson that does not have an interest in what they are doing and they are doing it only because the could not find anything better to do.

I actually like those people because when a consumer has a bad experience with them and then find me I eat it up.

To Dave, Bubba and the guys showing genuine interest and passion in the product "KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK" and hopefully your experience and enthusiasm will spread.

Jim and Dyna,

If we were to meet again then I would probably share my Screech with ya as well. I don't hold grudges and accept people for who they are.

Now I actually have to do some work here today.

"If you ever let anybody ever talk you into something you truly don't want. Then your mind is mush and the lobotomy was a success."

Brian is absolutely correct. I don't begrudge salesmen for wanting to make a living and for using 'tools' to their advantage.

In this day and age of instant information on any subject you could possibly imagine, if YOU don't take some time to EDUCATE YOURSELF in the ways of the big, bad salesmen and the products you wish to purchase, you are a fool. People will spend more time planning a weekend trip than they will when spending 25-35k on a new car.

And for the sales folks on this board, I've spent time in the retail industry and dealing with the public can out and out suck. I for one, try to be a polite, respectful person when dealing with anyone, even sales staff. It's how I was raised. But the second I get a person who is NOT polite or displays an "I don't really give a shit" attitude, I'm out the door and sometimes I'll let the boss know... BUT... I also let the boss know when his/her folks are doing a good job.

I think with more options now available to the buying public, the days of the "scumbag salesman" are waning. Now, if we could just do something about the scumbag lawyers!!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA

I'M JOKING!!!!!

Paul

I just have to add that Bob D. at Orlando
HD/Buell is another salesman who like Daves
and a few others is passionate and knowledgeable
about Buells. I highly recommend him to anyone
in FL who is in the market for anything Buell
related. I hope he doesn't mind this unsolictited endorsement.

Thats part of being a salesmen, there are times you have to suck it up & let the shit roll off your back. The buying publuc can be a bastard to deal with at times.

You never hear DaveS slamming folks here on the web. Its his job to sell, & if he projects a negative image how well do you think that would sit with the folks looking to buy his product?

Newfie was in commericial insurance & you dont hear him slamming people..its because these guys know whats needed & they know how to deal with the public.

Americanrice has no concept of selling. Hey lets go on the web & call some of my possible customers lowlifes & pricks. He should get out of sales asap & take up lawnmowing or maybe picking up trash outside the local mall.

Hey I have been mentioning the 12 since it was announced. I just have to wait until the X1 fiasco is done..couple more months.

The wife wants a new lowrider, but if I was to do a 12 she would be more than happy having the Dyna back.

I also dont know which 12 I would pick. I prefer the looks of the black 12R but I think the ergos of the S are more suiting for my aged body.

Has anyone tried putting the S handlebar setup on the R model to see if it clears the fairing?
And are the footpegs and controls a straight swap?
