Hi all , new to the board . Is there anyone in the central northern California area that knows how to do the TPS reset ? I would gladly pay them . I bought the VDST and have not had much success at using it , cant get it to connect . Got a 2007 XB9R , Jardine Pipe , Race ECM , K&N Filter .

Not to be a smart ass, but did you turn the bike on and have the kill switch off?

That is NOT a smartass thing to say. I have the Full Race module and still forget to toggle the kill switch to the ON position...

I was given the VDSTS to use by a fellow Bueller. It worked easily on both my '99 and '05...Do we even do TPS resets on 2007 models? Or did that discontinue with 2008s'?

I still have to do it on my 2007 12R.

As Slaughter said make sure the kill switch is on.

I had a tps done locally about 2 months ago...the tech said he couldn't figure out why the bike wasn't being seen...sure enough the kill switch!

Ditto the kill switch...are we ALL that forgetful ?

I'd spend the time figuring it out, it will be worth it for more than just the TPS reset in the long run....: )

The only prob I had was the serial to USB converter. American Sportbike advised me to use a Keyspan brand and nothing else. Works fine.

How often should it be done?
