Need some help guys,
I have just put my motor in my xb9s back in the frame. All wires are hooked up and engine runs however im having trouble seeing where and how to cable strap the wiring that goes by the headers and underneith the front drive belt sprocket cover. Can someone take some detailed pictures of there wiring that runs from the front of the bike by the oil cooler down to the wiring bundle thats next to the timing cover. I also have the wires running behind the rear cylinder and one that runs up right behind the headers and up to the velocity stack.
Everything went back togather nice just need to figure out this wiring so that i dont melt and wires or screw something up.

Take a look at this thread for some pictures I posted when I was looking for my oil leak. There are only a couple, but maybe they'll help you.

Hey guys need some help on this one. I have gotten all the wiring done on my bike but im still hunting down 1 wire. It goes to the starter i believe. Its the same style stubb thats used for the oil pressure switch. Here are a few pics of what it looks like and i just need to know where the wire is coming from so i can find it.

So its just an open stud like you see in the picture?
When i take the wire going from my oil pressure switch and plug it on their and ride it nothing bad happens.
When i dont have anything plugged in their im blowing the 15amp fuse for my key switch like every 15 feet.
What would i check as a cause of this.
Check engine light is on when everything is plugged in.
Maybe ill have to follow the manual on how to get engine codes and find out whats throwing the code.

Just 1st guess is that you have some damaged or bare wires around the countershaft pulley. Your picture shows some wires that are damaged and could be in the way of that nasty pulley. There are at least 5 cables that could be causing your issue right in that area. Electrical issues can be a real pain at times. Just make sure that everything is insulated and kept out of harms way to start.

since that is a ground you may not have your motor grounded properly causing the fuse to blow.

Be sure that the ground to the frame is connected. IIRC it is supposed to be on/near the brace above the rear head.

All those wires you see in the picture are when there is no tie wraps. I had it all tied up nicely earlier that day and unwinded everything so that i could see what was going on. diablobrian are you talking about the busbar wire running accross the top of the head to the frame. Yes that is on their nice and tight without a problem.
My main question is there something supposed to be hooked up to the circled stud or what is that for in general.
