Must be nice...

Half of the employees at the dealership I go to ride Buells, and they usually have a decent selection of bikes in stock - but merchandise is limited to one little stand that contains:

A VERY limited selection of shirt (m and f)
A bunch of helmets
1 motorcycle cover
1 set of Traction grips
2 sets of frame pucks

Pretty bad that I can spit out the entirety of their Buell inventory like that, huh?

I could care less about the apparel, it's the accessories I want - factory and aftermarket. If it takes a standalone dealership to do that then so be it. You are lucky indeed.

I live about 10minutes from that dealer. Actually my bikes there getting bearings now.

I posted about the new dealer awhile ago.

You're easily impressed - I stopped in again (hadn't been in for a while) and asked if they had what I considered to be pretty standard accessories (Buell tank bag or seat) - got the expected "we can order it". They didn't even have wheel bearings for Isham's bike. The few shirts you see hanging up are about all they have other than the most basic parts.

Paul has even talked to the manager about stocking P&A and pointed out the competition of the vendors here on BadWeb - apparently they don't care.

BTW, a few of us here in Orlando have a bike night going at Barney's in Baldwin Park on Wed nights. Paul (irideabuell) is the organizer. Stop by if you are free.

I'm all for giving them a chance, but made it clear to Gilbert at the shop that they need to have parts and accessories in stock to compete with the sponsors on this web site.

I showed him the web site while there during my last visit so he could get a flavor for what is offered on all fronts.

I explained that it is very attractive to do business with Dave getting a 10% discount as a BWB member on parts that you're going to have to wait for a dealer to order anyway.

I hope he takes the advice we've extended as local Buell owners.

I doubt I will bother going back to check again - when I asked about the tankbag and shook my head after the "we can order it" comment, I got the response of "you won't find anyone that stocks that kind of stuff". The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. The sad thing is that the parent store got a Pegasus award in spite of no P&A support, so there is not much incentive for them to change their policies. I partially blame Buell for rewarding dealerships that don't feel the need to invest in the marque.

Amen Keith! Gainesville carries a nice assortment of P & A's. Good for them and that is a HD dealer too.

Considering that someone at the dealer appears to have just signed up today and promptly spammed 3 different forums here with transparent 3rd person-sounding ads for the place, I'm not patronizing them. Paul spends the time to show Gilbert this site and they repay that with spam. Go ask them who Ken is (assuming he is actually exists), and why he posted ads for a non-sponsoring dealership without identifying who he represented? The very fact that they did this indirectly indicates to me they knew it was wrong. Kudos to Erik Boos for tumbling to this first.

Talk's cheap

The worst part is that this person hasn't contributed to this site in the slightest way. Spaming up this site with unauthorized advertising is a great way to kill this board.
