I FINALLY found some replacement mirrors I like! Has anyone installed a set? I was curious if there are any quirks I should know about before blowing my hard-earned $$$.

Have not used them but there are some pretty cool mirrors. Which ones are you thinking of? I like the aggressive/terribles and the Bikemaster universals. But you know how it goes with having to see them on the bike. Do we need to order the Harley adaptor?

here you find a picture,

http://www.devilstars.com/photoalbum/albums/userpi cs/10001/pascia26.jpg

I've it on mine... very small but at least they don't vibrate as the stock ones...

Here in Italy the appropriate adapter is in the box, the lever are japanise, not inch standard (I guess)...

Cool, thanks for the pic! I saw that the other day, but didn't notice your mirrors (too busy looking at your headlights!).

wile_c - where did you get that license plate holder? is it lighted? is it bolted or welded on? did you use round bar to get it to slope down like that?

Hi Iron..

Here it is:
the connection is done with a connecting rod

than alloy bars (not empty):

Upper bar are fixed with screws

and a light is connected.. not difficult to do...

this winter I'll change radically .. one side only, alloy fiberglass and, believe it or not, the "Pasta Strainer"

Thank you Wile C. but like swordsman I too was admiring your headlights, those are sick looking. Please tell us what they are. ANd I think I am just going to order the mirrors so I will let you know swordsman. Once I decide which ones I want. So could take awhile.

hi Racebizz, the headlights are additional car fog lights with Led position lights in .. just some work done to adapt at the stock light bracket...

here are sold by Lampa, I think you can find out something similar in a car tuning part reseller

here they are:

Pay attention...Yellowbolter
from what a Rizoma reseller told me only the Buell version is discontinued.

The reason for that is in the "good vibration effect"... I mean various break of this license plate holder on Buells, at least with the big Italian plates...

Thanks for the warning Wile_C.

That bracket shown by Brine looks different than the system on your bike. Good point about your larger/heavier Italian plates.

Dana,

I don't think our Italian friend meant any rudeness at all, just a friendly warning via a small language gap. I wish I spoke Italian and English.

Dana,
a public thank you for your PM, and a virtual beer to you

Blake,
thank to you too ..and yes the "Pay Attention" equivalent in Italy can be really a friendly warning depending on the tone of your voice...

I'll think about adding a disclaimer in my posts..a signature like:

"Warning! Italian trying to write in English"

ciao

Wile,
Nothing was obnoxious about the post - giving others warnings to prevent purchasing of a bad part is encouraged.

Anyways, the Euro-plates aren't much larger, heavier than mine. (I have a normal American CAR size plate - motorcycle plates aren't available yet)

Here is the other side.

Give me a moment and I will find the vendor for one.

I am not affiliated with this site, nor do I endorse their products. This is simply a site I saw the part on. Note- it appears to be sold in pounds.

FWIW - I bought the LAST ONE from Stone Mountain (sponsor).

There ae definitely none of these left at the Rizoma factory, and I would seriously doubt if anyone has one in stock in the UK.
Spareshack are very much a Ducati specialist, and if you look at the other Rizoma parts they have listed you'll see that they are from the 2004 catalogue rather than the very latest one, so it is probably the case that they just haven't updated their web site recently.

back to the origanal question, (well kinda) i also was looking at these mirrors. How much vibration do you get with these? Ive got Cat Eye bar ends now and while they dont vibrate at all, they are to small!

Hi Americanmadexb..
back to the original question:
no, they don't vibrate at all, really much better than stock..
yes, they are small too, the mirror area is 9 cm x 5.2 cm... roughly 3.5 x 2 inches, so sometimes you have to have a lot of imagination :-)

you can figure out the dimensions here:

ciao
