Went on my first group ride this weekend. Three of us went to Blue Ridge Parkway and drove some absolutely amazing roads off from there. Had a BLAST!

Now, I'm sitting here at work with nothing else on my mind except wanting to ride more! ARGH! This bike is gonna' cost me my job! : )

We all share your pain Mat. Really we do.

Especially since it's not going to go away any time soon.

Perhaps ordering the race kit, a new seat, or some better tyres will prove to be a temporary palliative.

You could browse some of the sponsors websites at work, no one will be the wiser.

One the other hand, you might want to order the shop manual so you will have something to read, and keep your mind off the Blue Ridge.

Hope that helps

all great suggestions jon... however i like to that another approach.

No more then about 10 min ago I was sitting here doing work at home and decided i wanted to go practice a little moto ballet so i went up and down the street working on some stand up wheelies... however i did have the police show up at my door.. so now that i think about it maybe thats not the best idea.. argh

hmm... good suggestions. I suppose I could do a lunch ride around the neighborhood, although mostly industrial and too much traffic. if the police show up here, I'm in a highly secured location and we can just not open the doors if we see cops outside. : )

maybe I'll do some research on molding my own lexan screen, or price some new tires, a new street fighter seat, or something like that.

Cool.

I'm heading for the BRP this coming weekend. I'm planning to start at Front Royal, VA and go all the way to Asheville, NC.

It will just be a 3-day weekend, but it is the closest thing I'll have to a vacation this year.

I'm taking next Monday off so I can spend 3 days riding around the BRP area. I'll be riding with a friend who will be on a Harley Classic with his grandson on the back so the riding may be a little slow. I may take the F650GS instead of the XB12 and just take it easy. The F650GS does pretty good in the curves but you really have to lean off the seat to keep from scraping the pegs.

I'm heading to Warrenton, VA on Sunday and will be on the Skyline and BRP for three days and then down to Deals Gap on Wednesday.

See many of you out there.
