When the fan on my XB comes on while just sitting in the garage without starting it. :-0 That didn't really happen, but it was almost 100 deg here in Michigan today. My fan, however, did come on after about 5 seconds of riding it today. | ||

When You Wuss Out and take your truck to work so You have AC on the ride home. In all honesty if I knew my commutes average speed was gonna be over 10mph I would have, but once I here its gonna be over 95 degrees, stop and go traffic does not keep you cool enough on the bike. My commute take me right through Boston everyday, I work on the northshore and live on the SouthShore not the best decision. | ||

You know its hot when you go to start you IL4 bike and the temperature reading is already at 110 F!!!! Normally it sits there at -- for a minute or so and starts counting up from 99 F... So if it's hot enough outside for my bike to start at 110, how hot do you think the air out here is??? DAMN HOTT! Sacramento, California... We just ended a 2 week triple digit temperatures period, in the hundred teens several of those days, with HUMIDITY fluctuating around 50%, some higher! Freakin nasty! | ||

When I'm still sweating my ass off when I'm doing 70+ and wearing a mesh jacket. O_O The heat/humidity has just been brutal here in MI the last few days. 84 for a high tomorrow and I swear it's gonna feel like it's 60. | ||

Same here.......I rode home from work at about 80mph in a T-shirt and it felt like I was riding into a furnace vent. My XB fan said •••••• this, unscrewed itself from my frame and jumped into a lake. :-) | ||

It is hot out when the Purdue Oven Roaster pop-up thermometer in your right thigh pops out. My Buell has two modes at this heat- flash fry and oven roast. I have taken to wearing my Vanson leather pants for insulation from the bike. I just wish they were perforated. I prefer slow roasting. | ||

I know it's hot out when: I'm in a strange town (29 palms) and I stop to read directions to a guys house. I'm in my 86 firebird. While stopped, the car dies. upon inspection we find that the potting melted out of the electric fuel pump located near the right rear wheel. Laying on the pavement to replace it was very painful. Good thing the motorcycle I was there to buy was in good condition, and I had mesh gear. | ||

It's even hot up here in the NH mountains. 100 temp + a 75 degree dew point + 100% humidity. For this part of the country, this is rare and tough on everyone. The forecast of 87 temps tomorrow sounds like a relief! I used to live in Bossier City, LA. and it damn sure got hot there. I must have been acclimated to the heat cause I was always outside. I've been living up north long enough to get used to the cold... the heat is tough to take. |
