I would not buy a belt of questionable heritage, history, and handling from ebay.

Just remember...you get what you pay for.
On a bike like this I don't personally think shortcuts are a good idea, actually any bike for that matter, its your life were talkin

Yeah there are a couple of alternatives for your bike. Dayco Panther is one off the top of my head but you'll be taking a gamble on the strength and longetivity as Buell testing is fairly non existant on anything but the stock belts. You'll need to count the teeth and order the right pitch. Price wise it is about the same as the OEM variety (which is what I'd buy). $152 is chicken feed compared to what they are worth in Aust. The cost of a chain conversion is 1/2 the price of a belt.

Or you can come to Canada and get charged $250.xx, kinda makes $152 seem like a smokin deal.

I have had issues with 03 up graded belt,Am going to chain soon. A friend on a 03 9r broke a belt the other day and called our local dealer a bad web sponcer by the way and was told they did not have it!They would order him on for $170.I told him to just order it from daves. Hard to beleave a sponser of this board would not have a belt!! It seems that would a be a stocking idem for a rider traveling.kind of bad if traveling on a Buell if you have a issue that a well knowed Buell dealer would not have commen parts in stock!!A coupable weeks ago I was at deals gap with some other Buellers fom from Ny ,Conn and ohio and 1 needed a foot peg went to Maryville Tenn. And they had them in stock!! They had shirts ,patches, and stickers.3 ulyes, firebolt a couple of lightnings and a blast! and people who liked and talked about Buells!!!!!!!

Go to a chain for about double the price and never worry about it again. I'm putting another belt on my 04 12R because my dealership is going to help me out, but as soon as they say no I'm switching to a chain.

Don't buy a used belt! There are enough problems with new belts to not even consider used!
