Meet Lil' Blackie.. It is a 2004 XB12S. As can be seen from the photos, it has one or two mods on it. No big surprise there:-) I would just like to thank everyone on Bad Web for all their help, encouragement and friendship over the last few years.Without this support, I am sure I would not be on this bike. Thanks to: LoneXB: Brian put his old R tail on the bike. It was the first time he did this kind of conversion, but it only took him about three hours. As anyone who has seen his bike in person or on the web can tell, he is a one great Buell mechanic and stylist. Blake: Thank you for Bad Web. For me, it is an essential and valuable part of the Buell experience. I check it every day. Court: Helped me keep my sense of humor and civility when both were sorely tried by the Motor Company. Believe me, that is accurate:-) Glitch: One of the first Bad Guy's I communicated with. The quintessential Buelligan. Thanks to all the other 3%er's for the March Madness. Daves: Can't run a motorbike without parts. Thanks Buddy. Kevin: Thanks for the Drummers and your Buell enthusiasm. Odie: Thanks for all your help and advice. Nice ridding with you. Thanks for the countess contributions that hundreds of brothers have made to the Knowledge Vault. And all the other Bad Guys I have met, ridden with, talked to, emailed, - Race Pirate, Black Sunshine, DJ Kaplan,Saintly, to mention just a few, and a lot of other brothers I left out: Thank you all for making owning a Buell an important and enjoyable part of my life. |

Mike, I am going to sell Ol' Yaller. Just want to make sure I like the new ride. Probably ask about $5,500 for her. |

Sell Ol'yaller?!? Please say it isn't so. You've made that bike completely your own. I can't imagine anyone else owning her, The new ride is hella nice but I'll miss reading your posts about Ol'yaller. This is the earliest I've ever been late!

Looks good, congrats on your new ride! I'd rather sweat than bleed, wouldn't you? White is definitely the FASTEST color Buell.

Good goin' Jon. Have you swapped the sprocket yet? The quintessential Buelligan. I'm honored. One of the first Bad Guy's I communicated with. Believe me Jon, the pleasure was/is all mine. As far as March Badness, and the 3%ers, we're all about sharing the fun. We're all glad everyone enjoyed themselves. Looking forward to MBIV!

Hi John, Have an XB12S myself same year, you will love it!! My man Opto has put Megasquirt (Fuel Injection) on her and she is as sweet as can be. No worries with cold starts or down low. Along with another guy in America he has made the board as small as a business card and it fits nicely under the seat. If you want I can get Opto to PM you about it. A drummer as you know just makes the whole experience of riding a more one on one with the bike, I had the SS on but found it was tooooooo much power for me. So went back to our Fatlet, was very disappointed in myself but oh well guess thats what you get for being a Girly! I got the Uly clutch from Daves for Bindy and that just takes the pain factor away for me when doing a lot of tight cornering. Apart from that and a low seat because I have duck disease, she is just a dream to ride and a pleasure to own. Enjoy my friend! Take Care Be Safe and Stay Upright! Jannelle |

Bindy - No worries mate:-) Nice to hear from down under. Glitch- Yes, I changed out the 57 rear sprocket for a 50, which gives me a final ratio of 2.5 instead of the 2.4 of the stock unit, as a concession to my own overly large displacement and my disinclination to motor at over the ton. I have a suspicion that the genius that set this bike up as a two wheel tractor also installed the primary ratios from the nine. I will say this: it is pretty peppy:-) PS. How did you get that cool photo into the signature box? |

Cody - It was great trying to keep you in sight in Suches. Can't wait get down there next year. Did you hear about the July ride in Deals gap? Saintly is organizing it. It would be great if a bunch of 3%ers could make it. Angela- Glad to hear you got a low. Hope you gave up those Goth boots with the six inch heels! ( While riding the bike I mean.)

Who me? Actually, the big work is done already! LoneXB put on his old R tail, I put on an original Drummer, and it came with the long wheelbase chain conversion swing arm. Immediate plans are to switch over my Laverda bars from Ol' Yaller, and Kevin is sending me a front sprocket cover. A couple of swing arm/front fork sliders, and I'm good to go, ( for a couple of days at least:-). Thinking about painting the swing arm Graphite grey to match the frame. And of course I switched out the directionals for mini-leds, but everyone does that, don't they? Almost forgot: I ordered those low profile air intakes from Trojan, and I put on a pair of Dunlop Qualifiers because I picked up a ten penny nail about the second day I had her. Love the tires. Everyone should go out right now and get a pair. Any suggestions, Steve?
