Pretty new to the board. I have been reading thru all the posts and topics over the last few weeks. Just want to say thanks for all the wealth of knowledge.

Now to business. Has anyone had any experience with aftermarket ign. systems. I know on a race car it make ever bit of difference in the world. i love my CityX but seems like the off idle response could be better or is this just the nature of Buell.

Any insight would be great.

the ecm is very adjustable via a software package called direct-link.
Call Al at American Sport Bike, or DaveS at appleton Buell for
the details. This will work with your stock ECM.

The race ecm is fine for minor mods.

with the fuel and ignition integrated in the ecm splitting them up would be moving
backwards because they are inter-related. If they weren't I'd have bought a dynatek
ignition already, I love their stuff, I have used their boxes on several bikes.

Spark is not the tuning issue, it's the A/F that needs a little work and Direct Link is the answer. ... Terry

i was meaning like a msd box or something like that. I dont have any knowledge on bike ignitions. i just know that in a car some of the aftermarket exhaust make a huge difference in power, performance, drivability and tuning. I have seen some systems for harleys but i am very green at all this so was looking for insight here on the board

I am just right outside of houston on the north side. Try to ride almost everyday. I am usually blasting down the 290 HOV lane in the mornings and night
