I have it on my race bike and I think it is great. Besides being able to change sprockets for different tracks, the throttle response is quicker with the chain. Easy install, and no problems since I put it on. |

What we do is have 2 chains of slightly different lengths to make sure that we covered the whole range. Changing the chain is a simple and quick job just by removing the swingarm brace. |

One of our brothers, Race_Pirate has the Trojan chain conversion. I believe he is quite enthusiastic about it. Here is his website URL: http://buzzin6.tripod.com/ |

RCR, Do a search here for chain conversion or PM Saintly, he made his own conversion for about 100 bucks I think. Looks damn good and If I'm not mistaken he hasn't had any problems with it at all. I'm sure he would walk you through it. |

I have @ 600 miles of track time (practice and racing) on the Trojan Chain drive. No brainer to install, no modifications to your motorcycle if you choose to put the belt back on. Overall the sprockets and machined parts are top notch. Changing gear ratios is just a matter of swapping out rear sprockets and adjusting the tensioner. Unlike the belt, I set my chain with a lil' more then a 1/4" slack mid point top run. XB Geometry remains the same, no major disassembly required just remember that the front sprocket nut is reverse threads. I Like it and for racing I have gearing choices and ease of getting a chain at the track. I have not ridden this set up on the street but Im quite sure you could impress your friends and neighbors.... |
